NO!NO!NO!

Your tongue is attached in your mouth. If you could swallow it why haven't you? Why don't you try it?

My best friend has epilepsy, and she says the worse thing you can do when someone has a seizure is put anything in their mouth. It is impossible to swallow your tongue.

For all those out there who doubt me read this:

No, you can not swallow your tongue. If you become unconscious and are laying on your back, the muscles that control your tongue will relax and the tongue will fall back, blocking your airway.

I don't think you'll swallow it... it just hangs around your oesophagus and you choke...

You can swallow it if you cut it off

Yes, definately. If you see someone having a seizure your supposed to help them NOT swallow their tongue, with a spoon and something similar if you can.

My friend Eddie had seizures. He bit my finger and I screamed like crazy. I used a rubber dog toy bone so he wouldn't bite his tongue, which I bought at a pet store. It worked wonders because he didn't swallow his tongue either.
