We have no idea what it is. However the usual is an anti-inflammatory like Motrin. Your sciatic problem is that you sciatic nerve passes through holes in your spinal column. If it gets inflamed and swollen it is compressed at those openings and gives you pain in your leg at the part it controls (above knee or below depending on which nerve branch is inflamed).

If Motrin and some exercise does not help the next step is a steroid shot directly at the inflamed nerve area. If that doesn't do it your next step is an operation that trims away damaged spine areas to give the nerve some room (usually not needed because epidural steroid shots work on most people).

I've been battling sciatica for close to a decade, after a minor car accident, and I had tried everything the doc threw at mepills, injections, special mattresses This guide was extremely eye opening and within one week of the regimen you gave me I can barely feel any discomfort. You have no idea how much of a relief it is to be finally getting rid of a pain I've had to bear for so many years.

Why would you go to a doctor you don't trust? Or were you just trying to make us jealous 'cause you got the good drugs?!
