You need to go to a GP, that's a must. It sounds like you might have an infection in your ear from your cough and there is nothing you can buy from Pharmacy for that (Pharmacist will tell you to go to the GP). If you leave it, it WILL get worse and further complication will happen, like losing your hearing or balance.
If you have a panic attack when ever you go to the GP, take along somebody who knows you. And bring a bag so that you can blow into it and inhale when you have panic attack.
Good luck!

You HAVE to go to your GP, panic atack or no panic attack. I agree that taking someone close to you with you might help but this infection (for that's what it sounds like) will not go away by itself. And why do you get panic attacks? Is it just with that GP (if so, ask to see another one in the practice) or going to see medical staff in general? Either way, when you DO get to your GP (which must be soon!), explain your predicament to him/her and he/she should be able to refer you to a counsellor who can help you overcome it.
You can't afford to go through this every time you're ill.
Make an appointment NOW and good luck!

It is called white coat syndrome. My husband has it but he actually swells up at doctors office and hospitals. It happens to people who don't have trust in doctors and also people who are afraid of what the doctors will tell them. He never would go to the doctors now he has DVT, Diabetes, High blood pressure, high cholesterol, and currently has 3 blood clots 2 above the knee.
SO MY FRIEND GET TO THE DOCTOR sounds like you may have tonsillitis or even strep when it gets really bad it moves to your ears and eventually to your nose. Don't wait until they have to get you to the hospital in an ambulance.

go to the GP, it's either that or go to and ENT clinic, but you need to get that checked out, you could have a burst ear drum or any sort of infection, try taking a bach rescue remedy before you go for nerves, but seriously snap out of it and go to your GP
