I tore a ligament near my hip during a fall sport. Though it is vastly better it is still uncomfortable and still inflicts some pain. Is therapy necessary? should I consult my doctor?

Running can be a person's greatest joy... or biggest pain. The tremendous impact running places on the joints, muscles and bones requires your body to be in proper alignment. If you run regularly, you may find that you sometimes develop a dull ache on the inside lower portion of your shin. It may get worse the more you run, walk or stand. Chances are you have a case of shin splints. If you are one of the multitudes of recreational runners who has suffered from this very common overuse injury -- you know firsthand how painful the condition is and how frustrating recovery can be. Many runners consider shin splints to be one of the most painful and persistent conditions they can develop. Although the pain associated with it is due to chronic contraction of the muscle at the front of the leg (tibialis anterior), the cause of shin splints is usually related to improper biomechanics of the foot and knee.

I keep getting these bites on my legs that are really red, painful, and full of puss. I have been getting them like 1 or 2 times a year, and in very different places, I got them in Texas, Missouri, and then in Italy. and they are always on my legs.

Well. My friends and I are constantly laughing. You know how it is when you're fourteen. We just find everything funny, so we laugh non-stop. Yes, it hurts really, really bad sometimes, but also.. I start feeling really light-headed. Literally, I feel high. It's usually worse if I'm pretty tired (though I don't feel tired.)

Can someone explain this? Is my brain not getting enough oxygen?

I forcefully bent my finger back on my hand yesterday. It HURTS so bad! I can move my fingers, but my ring finger feels week, and the pain at the big knuckle of my hand is killing me. My hand is a little swolen, but it's not black and blue or anything. It's so swolen that you can't see that knuckle. And it kills me when I try to make a fist.

I just assumed I didn't break it because I've heard that ol' wive's tale that if you break a bone in your hand, you'll know it because you can't wiggle your fingers.

Well, we were on a cruise ship on thanksgiving break and one late night my friend went swimming in the indoor pool. We had fun until I struck my foot out to push against the water when I hit the lader... I hurt terribly .. it hurt so much that I got out of the water. When I go out my foot was full of blood.. so I checked and I hit a nail. It might have been rust since it was in the water but I don't know... I held a napkin on the spot for 10 min. until the blood started to stop and I could slowly make my way down to my cabin.. stopping every 4 feet to check that it is not bleeding to much... I then just put a bandade over it. When I woke up the next morning I couldn't walk on it... and I couldn't walk on it for the next 3 days... Now I have a scab were it went in. For the last 2 months I have experienced pains right by the ankle were the nail struck... What could be wrong with my foot? What should I do now? Thx...

What is it? or what could it be? What would they do?

I am feeling tired all the time, although I sleep well and go for a 45 minutes walk everyday. Does it have to do with depression?
I don't drink much water by the way.

I had my ears cleaned by a doctor, and he used WAY too much pressure. I passed out, and it turns out he partially ruptured my eardrum. I have lost about 50% of my hearing in that ear. Can I sue him for his neglegence? Thanks for any advice.

I have seasonal allergies and nothing is working for me. I have itchy eyes and I am sneezing and have a runny nose. This always happens in the spring and summer. I cannot go to the doctor because I have no insurance so I need something over the counter.

I know I did this during exercise, but I am concerned about the severity. The muscle in my arm, between my upper arm and shoulder, is in pain. It hurts to lift it above my head and other stretching hurts, too. I thought it may be because I was exercising a new muscle, but after a week, after the rest of my body is fine, this one area hurts a lot. Any advice?

Today i was playing basketball and some kid threw the ball to hard and it hit me in the nose. i went to the doctors after it began to get very swollen, red, and turn black and blue and he said he didnt know. He said there was nothing I could do even if it was fractured or broken. He thought it was probably fractured. What should i do to ease the pain and keep the swelling down, and help my nose heal quicker? thank you
