I tore a ligament near my hip during a fall sport. Though it is vastly better it is still uncomfortable and still inflicts some pain. Is therapy necessary? should I consult my doctor?

I torn ligament may not heal properly without surgery or therapy. The ligaments, unlike muscles, have a very poor blood supply, so even though the body has the capacity to heal ligaments, they do not have the blood flow to do so. Tears of the ligament may be repaired by surgery and will most likely require rest and then Physical therapy for a full recovery.

Good Luck

i think of you may desire to get a 2nd opinion from a qualified orthopedic expert. no stable well being practitioner helps their pateint to stay in soreness for any extra than mandatory. additionally, having had experimental shoudler surgical operation in the previous and having to have the undertaking "re-fastened" while the test failed 5 years later i urge you to make certain you notice a stable well being practitioner. a college-affiliated scientific expert or head of ortho at a scientific college is often something to look for. in simple terms because of the fact your well being practitioner cured the an infection does no longer advise the shoulder isn't nonetheless injured. stable success and sense extra suited!
