Your body balancing itself.I have seen some people who walk without moving their arms...they look like a Flinstone,or a Jetson!LOL!

It's called biomechanics - your body is a machine and the most efficient way to move is if all the parts work together when needing to produce a forward motion (as in walking or running). Try walking or running without moving your arms and see how much more difficult it becomes. You feel awkward and slow.

to keep you in balance, without them you would tend to fall down alot. but then you probably do that already.
