Well, we were on a cruise ship on thanksgiving break and one late night my friend went swimming in the indoor pool. We had fun until I struck my foot out to push against the water when I hit the lader... I hurt terribly .. it hurt so much that I got out of the water. When I go out my foot was full of blood.. so I checked and I hit a nail. It might have been rust since it was in the water but I don't know... I held a napkin on the spot for 10 min. until the blood started to stop and I could slowly make my way down to my cabin.. stopping every 4 feet to check that it is not bleeding to much... I then just put a bandade over it. When I woke up the next morning I couldn't walk on it... and I couldn't walk on it for the next 3 days... Now I have a scab were it went in. For the last 2 months I have experienced pains right by the ankle were the nail struck... What could be wrong with my foot? What should I do now? Thx...

What is it? or what could it be? What would they do?
I

Call your doctor first thing tomorrow or go to the ER now. Nobody here can tell you what's wrong or help it get better. It could be that you chipped or fractured a bone. It could be some type of infection. Urgent is when you're in serious trouble, not when you've let something like this go for months now, but don't risk permanent damage. See a doctor tomorrow. Best of luck to you.

Are you crazy? You could lose your foot. Did you even bother to get a tetanus shot? I sure hope you have one. It's good for 10 years. I would go to the doctor immediately as whatever you did to it, it's not healed. It could be infected and you might need a lot more attention to it now than you did had you gotten it looked at right off the bat. Don't wait any longer.

The other person is right. There is no way your question can be answered on here. Make a doctor's appointment or go to the emergency room. They will x-ray it and do other tests. There is no reason to suffer or to risk permanent damage by delaying. The fear and pain you are putting yourself through is MUCH worse than anything a doctor will do. Take care of it ASAP. You will be so relieved.

I would go see a doctor. I cant say for sure, but you may have had an infection, or part of the nail broke off and went into your foot, specially if it was rustly. And when your foot healed the nail was still there. See your doctor.

Well, if the pain was so bad, isn't it rather strange that you did not think of seeing a doctor? Better do that atleast now.

If you can't afford to see a doctor for some reason, try Hypericum mother tincture both externally and internally. But best is to go to a doctor and get it checked out.

You need to get to your GP tomorrow at the latest.
You may have internal bruising at the best but i suspect more than that..... and that cant be diagnosed without examination.
SEE YOUR GP VERY VERY SOON.
If not able to get GP appointment a trip to casualty (A+E) is your only course of sensible action.
Get a friend to assist you getting about and do have some paracetamol (as long as you are not sensitive / allergic to it) now.

It could be a chipped bone and that will hurt like the dickens, but it is best to have a tetanus shot and have it x-rayed to see if you hit the bone or not. Good luck

Do you have any Swelling or Redness in that area?... You should really have it checked up by your doctor...It's too long for that area to still be hurting
