There is no where for the contact lens to go they do not float off behind the eye though I did meet a lady who had one stuck under her eye lid for weeks and did not know it was there.! You do not say what type of lens it is but I would not worry nine times out of ten they have come out. If you feel any discomfort in the eye or if there is any soreness or redness or discharge then consult your optometrist. There is no need to worry unduly. If you are concerned tomorrow then seek professional help.

This happened to my friend when he was driving! He said later in the day he just cried it out...but if youre not sure if its even in there, go see a doctor. I dont know if youd have to get an x-ray for that sort of thing or what, but maybe youll just cry it out like my friend did...

Hi,
I dont think u can lose it in ur eye, like any foreign object in ur eye u would feel it in there!
More likely it has come out when u have rubbed ur eye, or maybe u didnt put it in, in the first place.
With that said i would go to the doctors or local opticains just in case!
Good luck Rx

A trip to casualty will resolve this - especially if they have an eye clinic attached. But be prepared for a wait if you are in the UK.

I've done this PLENTY of times.
What I've done is this: close your eye (the one you think the contact is in) and slowly rotate your eye around (not manually, on its own) and eventually you will start to feel the lens in your eye again.

call your eye doctor's office and have them take a quick look. most will even do it without charging you. chances are it did fall out and you just are not aware of it.
