I had my ears cleaned by a doctor, and he used WAY too much pressure. I passed out, and it turns out he partially ruptured my eardrum. I have lost about 50% of my hearing in that ear. Can I sue him for his neglegence? Thanks for any advice.

I was referred to a speech/hearing center and they confirmed the hearing loss and tear in my eardrum.

Also, some people do get "Ear Washes". Not everybody's ears drain properly. I get this done once every year, and have never had problems until this time.

My late companion's mom used to have off days/unwell days, and her popular practitioner used to pat her arm and tell her she mandatory a tonic. some years down the line she moved abode, nevertheless with the comparable scientific education yet observed yet another popular practitioner, he despatched her for tests and it appeared she had maximum cancers. It grow to be too a ways long previous to do something approximately it, and you in many circumstances ask your self whether something might have been carried out, different then a pat on the arm. i think of it extremely is the only time once I felt like suing a physician, different then that I even have all self assurance interior the docs that I even have now.

Yes you can sue a doctor for doing damage to you. See a lawyer.
BUT you need professional dignosis. Did this diagnosis come from an ear doctor or other medical doctor than the one who cleaned your ears?

Unfortunately, it's very difficult to sue doctors and win. If you can find an attorney to take your case...of course you CAN sue, but you likely would not win. Doctors have a lot of protection.

Who told you, you lost 50% of your hearing? The same doctor another doctor..your neighbor. Is it permanent?
Why would a doctor clean your ears? I have never had my ears cleaned by a doctor...that sounds crazy.

You can try and sue, but get a lawyer.....
He will have medical insurance at the very least..... but expect to be removed from his patient list, and you will find it hard to be accepted by another if you sue.... they wont want the 'risk'.

Of course you can. Contact an attorney who specializes in such things, and you can also report the physician to to medical licensing board.

Yes you can sue your doctor. Don't go with only negligence. Sue him for damages, and
malpractice.
