Through self diagnosis from wikipedia, i think ive damaged the lateral collateral and posterior cruciate ligaments in my knee. Should i go to the doctors or the hospital, or neither? How much walking should i do? What does the popping sound in my knee mean?
Any help or advice would be much appreciated, thanks

I heard that the device for measuring height fluctuates like that of a mechanical scale and some people complain of being measured shorter or taller than they really are, esp. at home when they do it themselves.

I dont know why but my right butt muscle hurts so bad I have a hard time walking....I am 38 yo,no health issues(yet). I did pinch a buldging sciatic nerve on that side about 21/2 mos ago but I thought that was over. Could this be related to this? It feels like it is very deep into the muscle.

Lately, in the past month, month and a half, when I go to get up or perhaps lift my left leg up after I've been laying down, I feel this almost ice-cold wave that seems roll in all directions in my hip. Then it feels like its igniting and becomes an intense sharp burning pain all throughout my hip. At once it feels both ice cold and searing hot, making getting up mind-numbingly painful; it is only the left leg around the hip and when I get up and sit for a while and then subsequently get up and walk around, the pain is gone. Is a muscle pulled or torn? Help!

Every few months I will have an issue with the back of my right thigh. My skin will be very irritated and tender to the touch. It last for about 4 days. There are no signs of redness or anything on my skin, but it feels extremely irritated and is painful when touched. Sitting, sex...ect It is always the back of my right thigh this happens.
Anyone can explain this?

I ran very fast and fell down about a week ago. Now my wounds still hurt. There is a thick pink skin gathered at the border of my wound. I went to see the doctor the doctor told me that that could leave me scars. She was new so she didnt tell me much about how to lessen the scarring, but I read in an article that I have to keep it moist using some liquid bandages instead of keeping it dry to make it heal faster and lessen the scarring. Now that my wounds are still recovering and I could still do something about it, I was wondering how true was it? Should I leave them to dry or moist? What liquid bandages are there?

Current rules say you must be disabled for 2 years after you start receiving ssd checks. You must be permanantly disabled to get ssd. So I assume you are under a dr. care and need some sort of medication s, So why are medical benefits held back for those who truly need help?

I'm starting to look into massage therapy for a stiff neck. I pulled a neck muscle about a month ago, and the muscle seems to be healing, but because I didn't start range of motion movements soon enough, my neck became very stiff, and often painful to move.

I was wondering how much one typical session would cost, and how often I should go. I know that it will all depend on the therapist and what he/she suggests, but I'm just looking for ballpark figures here so I know what to expect.

Also, I haven't been to see a doctor about it since the pulled neck muscle originally happened. I decided the copay wasn't worth hearing, "you have a stiff neck, see a chiropractor." Would the therapist first suggest getting an MRI or anything to make sure that nothing is seriouslly wrong with any bones? I don't think that is the case, but I'm new to this whole thing.

Thank you!

It seems that if someone is so far into denial that they'll claim to NOT be addicted to opiates after having taken them for many years, then they should be taken off them for at least a short while, so they'll be forced to go through serious withdrawals and understand that they actually ARE addicted. It's like saying that someone with a never ending supply of heroin who has been taking it everyday for five years isn't an addict because they actually wanted to take it every day.

My mum has suffered with severe back pain now for a few weeks, it seems to be in her back, side, arms, and also her little fingers and arm go numb, we have thought that maybe it was a slipped disk, but the pain is only severe in the night and not during the day, once she has woken and taken some pills the pain seems to cease and comes back when she is in bed, what could it be, she says the pain is so bad she could slit her throat. Please help.

I have headache's 4-5 days every week,we went through mri's,etc,no known cause, but my question is,can I take Ibuprofen if I'm allergic to asprin? I take way to much tylenol (9-15 tabs)everyday that I do have a headache because that's just how much until it lets up alittle and when I have 5 headaches that week, well, kind of scary, and I probably have no liver left.
