A couple of months ago, I was diagnosed with having Hypersomnia and am currently taking 350mg of Provigil, which has worked exceptionally well to keep me awake during class, work, etc. . After further reading of hypersomnia, I had realized Restless Leg Syndrome was the cause. Ever since I was about six, I've had the symptoms of RLS: tingling feeling, urge to move, only goes away when moving or concentrating on something else like video games. The thing is, it occurs to almost ALL of my muscles not just legs or arms, but my neck, fingers, shoulder, calves, etc. I wake up in the morning just the same way I went to sleep. I feel like I get no energy at all from sleep. What am I supposed to do?? I also haven't had the time to check in with my neurologist lately, but plan to do so soon for asking about RLS. What can I do sleep-wise to help me? Also dietary?

My brother has been given pretty much everything for the pain in his legs, Neurontin 600mg, hydrocodone 10/325, ect and absolutely no pain relief, not even the slightest. We did find out he has lymphedema, 2nd degree, also cellulitis, and he is being treated with the manual lymph drainage and wrappings, which seems to be helping with the leg swelling, but thus far, after 3 treatments still has not done anything for the pain. Is it possible that the pain medications get to a certain point and are destroyed before reaching that part of the body where it sends signals to the brain that its not feeling pain....the signals to the brain that its feeling an 8 or more on the pain scale is not blocked at all, pain is a constant 24/7., pain pills do not block the signals. Does anyone know what could cause this? and would pain patches put right on the legs or pain shots work? Thank You, Marti

Everynight I have to take Benedryl so I can go to sleep comfortably, but if I skip taking it, I start itching all over and this is only right before bed each night so I have to get up and take two capsules just to get to sleep and stop itching. Is this a problem I have made for myself or should I see a doctor about it?

I've been taking stadol for yrs. and i know it is similar to morphine, but I have 4 different pharmacists telling me opposite oppinions.1 tells me that it should enhance the effects of the dilaudid, another tells me that i would be wasting my dilaudid if i take it within 2-3 days of the stadol.I had back surgery and in serious pain, but don't want to waste this medicine because of how hard it was 2 get.I'm a somewhat recovering addict and my tolerance is VERY high.I really need a straight answer on this.I used stadol at midnight last night,it is now 1:30pm, i need my dilaudid badly.I hope someone out there can help me soon.

Yesterday I was in my basement and I had to duck down in this one area and when I got up I hit my head really hard on the cement above my head. It hurt so bad that I fell to the floor and I got really dizzy and later my fingertips felt numb. I put ice on and I felt better. Today I am starting to feel really dizzy and light headed should I be worried? I rather not go to the doctor..because all they are going to do is say is to rest. I just want to know if this is normal after hitting your head.

I constantly bite my nails and cuticles until they are stubby and bleeding and they hurt! Any suggestions on how to stop? Don't say that nasty tasting polish, that is just gross and don't say chew gum because I am as I type and still chewing my nails. I'm too old to have this bad habit!

I've been fighting a sinus infection. As I have no health insurance, I have to rely on OTC for medicine. Pharmacist advised combo of Afrin (nasal spray) and Claritin (antihistimine), and I improved 90%.

But I still have a cough that is not connected to congestion - feels much more like a bronchial muscle that's in the habit of coughing. I thought an inhaler might be good to calm it down - but the cautions scare me. Even though it's OTC, directions say don't use if your doctor hasn't told you you have asthma.

Active ingredient is oxymetazoline HCl 0.05%.

Anyone have any experience using this? Any advice?
