Should be a couple hundred dollars or less. It just takes a few minutes. It hurts quite a lot, but your toe will start to heal and the pain will go away in just a couple days.

I have had this surgery. I don't know how much it costs because my parents took care of it. The worst part was the shot to numb it up. They gave me a shot on the bottom of my big toe so I wouldn't feel anything. After that all I could hear was some noise. It didn't seem to take very long. When it was done I was given some medicine to help for the pain and prevent infection. It was well worth it because those things hurt.

I've no idea how much it would cost. I would imagine there would be some pain. Of course they give you a local anesthesia (kinda like novacaine for the toe) so you shouldn't feel anything after that. And you can ask the doctor to prescribe you a good pain medication to take for a few days afterwards.

I had surgery on my big toe to remove a bone tumor (not cancerous) a while back. It never hurt as much after the surgery as it did before the surgery, partly because it took 2 days for the local anesthesia to completely wear off. I never even needed the pain meds.
