How long has your throat been hurting? Is it possible you have run into one of the many bugs that go around in the winter time?

You need to get your throat checked out by the doctor; if you have strep throat, it should be treated with antibiotics. You also may have strained your vocal folds or may even have a polyp or cyst on the cords-not uncommon in people who sing and use their voice a lot.

Short term until you can see your doctor, drink warm, caffeine free fluids, take warm showers, nose breathe as much as possible and stay out of cold air. Rest your voice without shouting or whispering. Buy some lozenges at the drugstore with pain relieving ingredients in them and suck on them as needed.

I actually have something called "The Entertainer's Secret" or something like that, it works great. I use it even when I do not have a sore throat because it is not medicine, but it works like medicine. It coats your throat, kind of like honey does, and allows for easier "pushing" from the diaphragm without the rattles in your throat. Even if you are a perfect pitch singer, you still hit a rattler every once in awhile.

type of a competetive marketplace you like to pass into. in case you're an astonishing singer now, enter a certainty contest as your age will act as an earnings by using reasonable novelty element (ie JoJo). in any different case, in case you 'desire a sprint greater prepare' - then shop at it and attempt and get as lots exposure as a danger. Do you think of you have what it takes? Why do no longer you attempt your self and pass on your interior sight severe highway and belt out some numbers. it is throwing you in on the deepend and busking is a huge attempt of your metallic.... you may even make a pair of quid too!

Chloraseptic Lozenges and Fishermans Choice Lozenges are strong and numb you up really nicely. I use them before and during my performances. You can also sip on hot tea. Most importantly, get the rest your body needs, so you can get well, and not strain your vocal chords any more than necessary.
