That depends, my husband had one cast that was all fiberglass, not too heavy, one that was both fiberglass and plaster with a hinge at the knee, a little heavier, and one that was all plaster, very heavy.

it depends on the severity of the fracture hence the thickness of the plaster cast but if you say 10 lbs you would be in the vicinity

If your doctor will use regular palster of paris casts, then it will be heavy. If he uses fiberglass, you're ok. Weighs almost nothing.

Depends on what they are splinting exactly, but approximately 5-8 pounds.
