I am not sure what kind of biopsy I need, I have a bump toward the side of my leg and they think it might be cancerous. Do you know what kind of biopsy do I need, and what do they do? Will I have to be put to sleep or what? Any help would be greatly appreiciated.

The bump appears to be a calcium deposit because it feels hard as bone and doesn't move under the skin. It's a little bigger than a nickel and protrudes 1/4 an inch or more. It's about 4 inches above my right eye. I've had it for 6 years and am tired of people asking me when i bumped my head. Thanks for any help.

i believe i may be suffering from the above. does anyone know the best medication or techniques to prevent this terrible pain. Should i rest or continue my daily activities although things such as driving maake me end up in tears - i drive as part of my job.

I had a 5th metatarsal foot surgery and 6 weeks after surgery the podiatrist said I could walk with a walking boot. I have been trying for a week but it hurts right where the incision is. Is it supposed to hurt?

the gp wont refer me for a diagnosis as it is a condition that some doctors refuse to recognise so im stuck in a rut. ive had to give up my position of employment, my independence and basically my life has changed dramatically. does anyone know where i can get help to manage this condition.

I rinse my contacts with the 3 in 1 cleaner and soak them over night, then rinse them again before putting them back in my eyes in the morning. BUT, my right eye always starts getting blurry and I have to continue to keep putting in drops so I can see. These contacts aren't even a month old yet, so it shouldn't be time to change them.... Any help?

I've always had perfect vision, but for about the last week I haven't been able to see properly out of my right eye. It came on when I had the flu, and although my other symptoms have cleared, I still can't see properly. It also seems to get gradually worse throughout the day - what could be causing this?

anyone have any thoughts?

my mother (54 yo ohterwise healthy female) was suddenly sick with vomitting, low grade fever and serious fatigue. she was so weak she was taken to the hospital by ambulance. they first thought gallbladder, then kidney infection, but nothing was truly diagnosed. after three days, she seemed better and she was released, still with no daignosis. about 12 hours later, she was again so weak, she was returned to the hospital by ambulance. they've been pumping fluids and morphine for abdominal pain and nasuea mes, but still no diagnosis. there is no fever, no diarhea, only vomitting and nausea with some abdominal pain. they 've done an ekg, a stress test on her heart an upper gi. nothing.

any thoughts?

and no....she did not eat tainted spinach.

I've been having severe chest pain for over 2 years now. I'm 20 years old right now. I've researched countless forums,medical sites, even talked to a few people from The American Heart Association and I haven't got any solid proof of what'sgoing on. Basically I get Sharp consistent pains that happen in the left, right and center of my chest (always flunctuates which side). I don't get shortness of breath, nausea, no pain in the arms, jaw or anything like that. However a long time ago I did get a burning feeling in my neck (very uncomftorable) but hasn't happened in a while. As I know I do have high blood pressure, I think I have Anxiety as well I get real nervous when I get around alot of people. Sometimes i'll be fine for 2 weeks then all of a sudden for 5 hours it will hurt then go away and come back for another 2 hours etc. I have lowered my sodium intake and I Quit smoking 80 days ago and I still get these symptoms. My parents don't believe me. Any feedback is greatly appreciated

does anyone know if naproxen is good for lower back pain whichis travelling into my right buttock. I have had this pain for years and recently it has often got me in tears. When i sit i feel like someone is sticking a knife from my buttock right into my lower back. My body often tilts to thr right. I have got some naproxen (which you can buy over the counter in spain) does anyone know how many 500mg tablets you should take.

Or does anyone know of any other effective painkillers. My GP has prescribed me diazapam and tramadol but they just make me feel spaced out and do nothing for the pain. Im desperate.

About 3-4 years ago the toenail from my big toe came off and it hasn't grown back. I have a layer of something that feels sorta like a toe nail but it's not. I'm scared that it'll stay like that and never grow back! Is there anything I can do?

It has been there for probably 10-15 years and never any pain or discomfort, and actually it is not terribly noticeable. Even the doctors haven't mentioned it to me, although I'm sure a couple have noticed. so maybe it is nothing. It's probably the size of a tiny egg. I'm just curious. Does anybody else have this?
