It could be gall bladder disease but it maybe as simple as acid reflux which would explain the moving from side to side.

You would need to see a doc to determine if it is gall bladder or appendix but I really dont think it is that as it has gone on to long but I am not a doctor.

Try a simple antacid that can be purchased over the counter. If you could give more information like--does it hurt more after you eat or an empty tummy?

These two things are good indicators as whether it is simple reflx or a possible gall bladder.

I do encourage you to see a doctor.

I have the same thing, or at least it sounds similar. I had a pinched nerve that sent pain stabbing under my ribcage, and sometimes into my chest.

Turns out I just needed my back adjusted. =]

My fiancée gets this same pain, and it goes away when she gets her spine realigned.

ask your doctor to do an ultrasound on your gallbladder. If it is not that, it could be trapped gas.

If its not gas it could be your liver or pancreas.
