General Health Care - June 2006

I had a blood clot in my right leg (at the top of my calf) one year ago. In July of last year I had an ultrasound and it was gone.

Why does my calf continue to swell up? It isn't terrible, but you can definitely tell a difference when I take my socks off.

My doctor still has me on blood thinner (warfarin) as well.

Am I ever going to be back to normal?

Recently 1 month ago I got an accident with my Bike. I got 3 stitches just half inch below of my lips, leaving a scar mark which look quite ugly, (but before that I was Handsome). Please anybody suggest me how to remove those stitch scar marks? What are the medicines/remidies?

Everynight I get ready for bed and then when I get into bed I cannot sleep. It's really starting to catch up to me now, I tried differnt things and nothing seem to work. Can anybody help me. This only happens around 8 times per year randomly. What happens is that I get this strange sensation like blood or a liquid is running down the side of my head when I turn to look at something sorta fast. It's a little painful, usually I have to close my eyes or just keep my head still until the feeling goes away. It lasts around 30 seconds but it's really sucky. Does anyone else have this? I am little concerned because my mother died of a brain aneurysm in her mid-30's. Are aneurysm's passed on?

I recently joined a club that has an indoor pool and the first time I used the pool, I woke up with a horrible cough that night. I didnt think it was the pool but I must have been coming down with something. A week later the cough was better and I went back to the pool, same thing later that night I was hacking my head off. I thought maybe I swam too soon after a chest cold. Now, the cough had been cleared up for 2 weeks and I went back, and it happened again, so now I know it's the pool.

What causes this and how can I prevent it since I am paid up for a year?
