After some beer why can't we run so well the next day? No air/breath, see. Is it the beer- quite a lot of it- or is it the cigarettes with the beer?

Sometimes When I get up from sitting or laying down I can feel a surge of dizziness in my head and my vision darkens for a little bit, I become extremely disorientated as well and am wondering if this is normal? It doesn't happen all the time to me, say maybe once or twice a week, other weeks it may happen more or less often as I'm not sure what the cause of it is.

A couple of years ago my grandfather died. I never experienced death in my life before so it came as a big shock and as a result, for several days following his death, my body litereally went numb. I could feel pressure, but other than that it was just a weird tingly feeling all over. Since then, whenever I get stressed from anything, my body goes into this "numb mode." I went to the doctor about it before and they just said I needed rest and nothing was physically wrong with me. But it's a very uncomfortable feeling and I hope someone knows anything about this and can give me some help. Thanks so much!

Please help! I had knee pain and didn't have health insurance. I waited for a few weeks and hoped it would go away...and it didn't. Then I realized I should get health insurance in case it got worse. Please keep in mind that I have NEVER saw a doctor or health care professional about my knee. I found out today that my insurance is active and I want to see an orthopedic MD right away. My question is this: If I go to the doctor and get something done (like an MRI) would the insurance company try to argue that a potential injury is a pre-existing condition b/c the pain started b4 the insurance?

Please keep in mind that the glossary insurance company's definition of a pre-existing condition is: " Any medical condition or injury for which medical advice, diagnosis, care or treatment, including the use of prescription drugs was recommended or received from a healthcare professional during the six (6) months immediately preceding the effective date of your medical insurance coverage."

I took my cousin who has down-syndrome for a walk today and when we got back, she had this little black bump under her skin. I got suspicious about it being a tick. Her mother took her to the hospital and doctors examined her and said: “it might be an insect, but it not a tick, TAKE HER HOME AND have her take a shower and try to take the insect out yourself!!!!!!!!!” never mind the carelessness of those doctors (with whom I will have a talk tomorrow), we finally were about to take out the insect. It was a light brown, shrimp shaped, insect. The problem is that we missed a little bit of its body and regardless of our effort we couldn’t take it out. Any advice on what it could have been and what we should do? If it the pest had lime disease, would a blood test show it this soon?

I'm scared since the doctor said that they might have to do open surgery if there was too much scar tissue from a previous surgery (ectopic) or if they were unable to see while doing laprocopic surgery. Can anyone tell me if they have had this surgery and was suppose to get laproscopic surgery and then ended up with open surgery and why they had to have open? Thanks so much.

I have a very dear friend that I'm concerned about, her Doctor keeps telling her she has a disease that will eventially cause dementia, but he is not sure why or the cause. She is only 45. Tests have shown its not a tumor, but he keeps telling her that anywhere from 1 to 10 years she will be in complete dementia. Any Ideas? Help Please!
