Yes vitamins work but only a very few work really very well. Especially when it comes to the mineral absorption.

Vitamins are essential for the body to function normally. Can be taken as food or beverage or in pill form or take all at the same time. The food part is necessary, of course. I recommend a multivitamin and take 1500 mg of calcium in divided doses (3 x a day) depending on your age.

Well, your body needs basic vitamins in order to function. If you're feeling run-down, and it's because you're lacking certain vitamins, taking supplements will noticeably help. Other than that, you should take a daily vitamin anyway to make sure! :)

"Work" for what?? As the others have said, if you're deficient and having health problems because of that, then, yes, replenishing vitamins will "work". If you're not deficient, then adding additional vitamins will not do anything for you.

Nutrients will be absorbed in the body but only to a certian level. taking more wont help you more. its better if you take vitamins through food, but yes taking vitamin pills do help ( help, not cure)

Yes if you are lacking in particular vitamins, but not as a substitution for nutritious meals.

Yes they do work but they work with food. You get no value from them if you don't eat.
