Females should always wipe from front to back to avoid urinary tract infection. Bacteria only has to travel a very short way up the urethra to cause an infection and wiping stool to the front would surely cause such an infection. Every nurse knows this.

If you're a guy it doesn't really matter...but if you're a girl definitely wipe from front to back. The bacteria and germs in your "back" can cause infection if they come into contact with your "front"

As I saw ppl say earlier.... if you're a girl it's front to back. It's for the simple fact that bacteria around the anus could spread to the vagina and this method avoid this. I'm not sure about guys but if I was a guy.... I would do the same just to be safe!

Girls most definitely need to wipe from the back to avoid getting bacteria in the puddy.

As a guy, I think it is just good hygiene to do the same.

You always go from front to back. The general principle is to go from the cleanest areas first.

For a girl bacteria will cause you to have an infection that can reach your kidneys and make you pretty sick to the point of bein hospitalized. Happened to my boss (can't believe she told me all about it).
