Isn't it irritating waking up with a slight runny nose that last the whole morning and disappears in the afternoon?

So this is how it goes.

I'm 14, I wake up at 6, try to sleep at 9, but I'm just lying there for 2 or 3 or even 5 hours.

I've been like that for the last 2 months.

Nope, benadryl doesn't work.

No, I don't drink coffee.

Yesterday afternoon I had a mass removed from my right leg approx. two inches down from my knee. In the process the doctor cut thru a blood vessel. He tried to stop the bleeding with gauze but eventually had to clip each end with hemos and then tie down the vessel to stop the bleeding. Under his breath I heard him say "I knew I was going to do that". It still continued to bleed, but he stiched me up anyway. He never mentioned cutting the vessel, eventhough he knew I was watching the whole thing. Now I am my leg has been oozing blood thru the stiches, but only on the end where cut the vessel. I have tried contacting a local ER but the nurses will not give out advice over the phone and I do not feel comfortable calling the doctor as the take home instructions say it may ooze for up to 48 hours. I am most certain that cutting thru a vessel was not part of the plan when those instructions were written tho. When do I need to become concerned?

Serious replies only plz.

I live in an area with lots of creeks, bogs and marshes, so every summer there are a bunch of vicious mosquitos around here. Because I am allergic to insect bites, wherever I get a mosquito bite, it swells like crazy and blows up to a huge size.
So this summer, I am determined to try to avoid mosquito bites altogether. Can you please recommend to me a really effective mosquito repellent that won't kill me in the process? I'd like to use a product that is least toxic to humans while simultaneous being very effective.
And any other general anti-mosquito tips would be appreciated as well. I hate mosquitos! They are the bane of my existence in the summer.
Thanks so much for your help!

Is it bad to get sore knees after running?
I ran 3.5 miles yesterday and my knees are sore that it hurts to walk up or down stairs. Does anyone know why and would this problem call for knee surgery in the future?

I'm in good shape, but my knees just took a toll.

My 71 yr old dad suffered bleeding stroke in 2002. I'm unsure of which blood press. med he was put on, and he was put on aspirin as well. At a family reunion yesterday, he confided to my sister that he just had a dizzy spell and has been getting them at home. My sister took his blood pressure, 136/115, and was immediately concerned. Dad divulged that he had stopped taking his blood pressure med and cancelled his last scheduled doc's appt, in lieu of the self-medicating regimen my mother has him on with herbal and natural remedies. Mother is rather controlling--could she be in any legal trouble if Dad has a medical emergency or worse as a result of her natural and herbal remedies replacing doctor's prescribed meds? My folks and sisters all live in the same area--the reunion took place 9 hrs away and I was already on the way home when this revelation took place.

I was supposed to have an MRI and when I got in there, My stress level kept rising, so bad that I had to abort the test.. My only solution was that I had to travel over a hundred miles away and used a very expensive Open MRI. then I was able to do it.. Only, in the future, I am sure that there will be more times that I wont be able to travel there... I dont think a sedative will work.
