I had surgery to remove pre-cancerous cells from my cervix. I know that I will be contagious and have HPV for life. I also know that males are carriers and if I give HPV to a male, he won't know and can pass it on.

How can I make sure that I can still have a sex life and not put other women at risk? Honestly, I'm also worried about the stigma of having an STD. I think I got it from my first sex partner.

what if someone found a temporary 6 months cure for AIDS/HIV what country should the pills get distrubted to first ?

i dont think i have any std's but i am 24 weeks pregnant and i want to get tested but i dont know what std's can affect my babby or if any and which ones may cause me to have to have a c-section if anyone knows please help and tell me which ones will affect and how they will affect my baby

its been few days since i found wart-like thingy at my pee hole. i went to the doc. he is sure that its no herpes, or stds cox i didnt have sex b4 he gave me antibotics (one tablet only), some pills for clearing bacteria in my urine and a cream name "coral"..it is meant for herpes..but he gave me to apply on mine penis.

it has been 2 days since i went to the doc. well...did helped abit..but still felt a gentle sting..like a blunt needle poking my penis head when i starting to pee. any help there?...what is this stupid thingy...

There has been a lot of talk about Gardasil(sp?) Which is supposed to fight HPV which causes cervical cancer, and in going for check ups for teen girls, parents are now asked if they would like to have their kids vaccinated with this. But i have noticed the doctors are really antsy about telling parents where the virus actually come from. The cause for this "virus" is actually sexual activity. But on every commercial I've seen there are girls yelling they want to be "one less". While the real issue is that teen girls are subject to soo many diseases to even count on all my hands and toes from STD's(which HPV is).

Why do you think doctors would try and tiptoe the true causes from parents?

They say that the cervical cancer rate is sky rocketing, but the gardisil vaccination is only good for teen girls!


What do you think about this vaccination? Do you think it's really the answer to this cancer epidemic?

I am starting to wonder if I have genital herpes. The only things wrong with me are that once in awhile sex hurts--mostly a burning sensation down there...and the other symptom is extreme itchiness down there. I don't have any sores or bumps though. It has only happened a couple of times though, so maybe I just tore something during sex? I have only had 3 sex partners, and 2 of them had never had sex before me. The third person used a condom both times we had sex. Any ideas as to what's wrong with me? Thanks!

How come you don't get STD's when you stay abstinent and do it til you're older but you get STD's when you do it at like....12? Also, if you are doing it and you slip "it" out before you *** on the partner(and *** on their stomache or something), can they get pregnant?...(silly question)

After I had intercourse with someone at age of 22, within a week I showed a few genital worts on the top of my skin near my "spot". They soon disappeared and I was very thankful to not receive treatment. It's now 6 years later and I had my first abnormal pap smear. I tested positive for HPV, had my first LEEP procedure done, and I'm 28 years old. My doctor told me that she would like to see my get the vaccine just in case. Will this vaccine help me not get cervical cancer? I also am wondering if Gardisal will help me knowing that I'm not really in the "age bracket" and I have already tested positive for HPV?
