I am starting to wonder if I have genital herpes. The only things wrong with me are that once in awhile sex hurts--mostly a burning sensation down there...and the other symptom is extreme itchiness down there. I don't have any sores or bumps though. It has only happened a couple of times though, so maybe I just tore something during sex? I have only had 3 sex partners, and 2 of them had never had sex before me. The third person used a condom both times we had sex. Any ideas as to what's wrong with me? Thanks!

Ok first off, I am not a perv...I have found the man I plan on marrying and he is my only sex partner now. I have always used a condom and I am also on birth control. I am very allergic to everything in the environment so it may be possible that I'm allergic to the condom, but I've never really had a problem before. I have a feeling it probably is the lube...when we use a lot it doesn't hurt...but what explains the itching a day afterwards? Also, I do follow God--please don't judge me.

I never use anything with spermicide...we use equate jelly lube and normal lubricated condoms.

I have had a yeast infection before but it was very minimal...and also two UTI's that weren't minimal...I'm pretty prone to weird stuff happening...I just want to make sure it isn't serious.

I don't think it's the condoms--I've been using them for years and usually everything is fine down there. Our condoms don't have talc either.

I've had the same problem before with my husband. I went to my gyno and he took a quick swab down there and ran a few tests. He told me that i had a bacteria infection and gave me a prescripition for a type of cream to insert into my vaginia. He told me that it could have been the lube we were using that caused a infection. Please go to your gyno and get it checked out. Im sure it's nothing serious you need to worry about. You seem very well educated and cautious about sex. I'm pretty sure everything will be fine.

Please see your gynecologist. You could be simply having an allergic reaction to the condoms...try condoms that are not latex based to see if it makes a difference. You could also be developing post-sex vaginal yeast infections. You might have some other sort of infection going on. The only way to know for sure is to be examined by your gynecologist. If you tore something, you would have pain and bleeding, not itching (until maybe the healing process).

I got diagnosed with herpes simplex virus (type 2) about six years ago, while I was still in college and had a stupid one-night stand. I know loads of girls will declare this, but I swear I had certainly not done that sort of thing before. I just made a huge mistake that one time and all of a sudden it seemed like I was going to have to live with the consequences for my entire life. The worst part was feeling I could never date men again. In the end, who wants to go out with someone who has sores around her private parts? But since a friend shared this movie https://tr.im/05o0W everything improved.

Not only was I able to eradicate all remnants of the herpes virus from my body in less than three weeks, but I was also able to begin dating once more. I even met the man of my dreams and I'm so blessed to write that just last week, in front of everybody in a crowded restaurant, he got down on one knee and proposed to me!! This system gave me back the chance to be happy and experience real love. Now I want to enable you too by sharing this with the whole World.

I am just amazed someone could get on here and tell you that you do not follow God. The God I know, gave us free will and for a reason. He understands that we must make decisions and choices, good and bad, in order to ultimately live our lives so that we can learn from our mistakes and repent. God is the only person you have to answer to and when it's time for him to judge I bet he is harder on the ones that tried to play him in their life.
Anyway, back to your question, I bet you just are having an allergic reaction or it also could be a size issue no pun intended. Either way you should think about getting it looked at.

It sounds like you have allergies or you're not using enough lube, not herpes. If you're using spermicide (some condoms come with it already on them) it can make you burn or itch if you're allergic. I can't use it because of this problem. It's HORRIBLE. Also, you could be allergic to the lubrication you use, latex, his lotion (or yours) or anything else that comes in contact with your vagina. Start eliminating things one at a time that could cause you problems. Start using lubrication (KY is good), stop using spermicide (and make sure you use a condom!), start using non-latex condoms, change your lotion (make sure he does too), and try to figure it out one at a time. If it persists, talk to your doctor. In rare cases you can even be allergic to your guy's semen!

if you had herpes, you would know! the first outbreak is usually extremely painful. there is a good chance that you aren't producing enough "lube". try using a lube to see if that helps. stay away from the scented/flavored ones, as they can cause lots of irritation in some people. if it is still a problem, see your doc to be sure.

go to the doctor, that is the only thing that will be able to answer your question. Do you have to use lube everytime that you have sex? are you excessively dry? that could be the problem, because in my experience, and my husbands past experience (which he tells me), it is not common.
