Washing too much and/or douching can actually make it a lot worse.
Go to your local drug store and get some anti fungal medication like Monistat. You might also want to go to the store and get some yogurt. Yogurt contains active culture in it which can sometimes make a yeast infection go away (don't rely on it though).
If it doesn't clear up or it seems to get worse, see your doctor. They can give you a prescription for some medication like fluconazole (brand name: Diflucan).
Good luck!
***Also, antibiotics will not work on a yeast infection. Antibiotics are often the cause of a yeast infection. ONLY antifungal medication will work.

the first bit of advice i have is please don't use soap on your genitals this can cause irritation and smelling to help prevent anymore infections urinate after sex ( if u r sexually active), eat at least 1 yogurt cup a day and drink cranberry juice these also help for bladder infections too i find for me both kind of go hand in hand for some people some people are more prone to infections after their periods try using something over the counter like monostat and see if that helps after your period

first you can get an over the counter cream to treat the yeast infection but if you have a foul odor like a fishy smell or anything foul its probably a bacterial infection overgrowth of yeast can cause a bacterial infection and vise versa...the best thing you can do is go see your gynecologist and let them take a look and please go asap..

I'm sorry to tell you this ....but the same thing happen to me...a yeast infection does not smell....but trichinosis and bacterial vagina's does... you should go to your doctor and have him check it out it can either be Trish or bacterial geniuses...maybe even calamity...the only thing that can help you is see a doctor and get antibiotics....do not douche it makes it worse...

CHeck with the Gynec. For the time-being, you can wash with a few drops of detol added to warm water to ward off any infection - always remember to keep your parts prefectly clean. Change your under garments more often. Have them rinsed in detol water.

Taking her to the doctor is a good suggestion, but I would advise seeing a different doctor. ANY doctor that pushes off your concern for your children is not someone you want caring for them. Your doctor should have checked this out when you first brought it up! Also six IS an awkward age for checking things like this. At six little girls have become aware that they should keep their bodies private, and even letting mom look is a hard thing for them.

Go to the doctor. Or get some monistat OTC. Eat lots of yogurt with live cultures in it. Wash with warm water and baking soda.
