STDs - March 2007

A few days ago I went to the woman doctor, because I had a yeast infection and an itchy crack. She gave me a yeast infection antibiotic and told me to put gold bond cream on my itchy crack. So I took the pill and I put the gold bond cream on my crack for 2 days. Then yesterday, I noticed my upper crack was iritated, it is red and kinda feels like a rash. I think that maybe putting the gold bond oitment in my crack, broke out my skin there and it feels like it kinda burns a tiny bit (but it isnt even uncomfortable or anything).

I do not believe it could be an STD becuase I go to the doctor regularly and I was just there 3 days ago, also I have never had any STD and I have been with the same faithful guy now for 2 years and he does not have anything and never has.

this is a question i have for my health class...i dont know the answer but they want us to see if you can get an std if both partners are virgins and they dont have any sign of STD's in family background.
Could two straight virgins get stds?
Could two lez virgins get stds?
Could two gay virgins get stds?

The HPV vaccine is being mandated for chidren in grade school, entering the seventh grade. This is a vaccine that can potentially prevent cervical cancer. It also protects against HPV which is an STD. What do you think about this requirement?

Although I am not currently experiencing an outbreak...i have gential herpes and recently when I had sex, my partner performed orally on me multiple times.

If i'm not having an outbreak (and haven't had one in a while), have I still put him at risk (there was quite a bit of sexual fluid involved)

Last Monday I had sex with a man whose counterparts were fairly large (compared to me). It was very painful for me considering I hadn't been sexually active in a while.

Anyway, shortly afterwards I noticed that I was very sore and a little bit itchy. I was even bleeding but after a few days I came to the conclusion that it was just the beginning of my menstrual cycle.

Now, my period is gone but the itchiness and soreness still continues. I woke up this morning and I am very, very swollen to the point where I'm scared and concerned. I have discharge but there is no odor or bumps. It's just the excessive swelling and soreness that's frightening me.

I know that there's something wrong, but I'm afraid to tell my friends or family. Plus, where do I go for help? Should I be screened for an STD at a clinic first or should I see a gyno about the swelling?

what exactly is a pap smear for? i have heard its so they can look for std's and others say no its for cervical cancer....im very confused...and im having a hard time explaining it to my sis...if its not to check for std's, then how do they test u for venereal diseases????

I have been with my boyfriend for about a year, and we are still virgins. We have done "things" but never sex. I am 100% positive that he is a virgin, as the same goes for me. Is it still possible for one of us to have and contract the HPV virus, even though I am positive that we have never even fooled around with other people as well?

I am extremly paranoid about getting HIV. There was a time when I was promsicous for about 8 months. Now Im not having sex on a regualr basis, but when I do its unprotected beacuse its with people Ive known for long time. I get tested for HIV every 6 months.

one do there is a risk. How safe can one be using a condom. can you partner get herpers if one uses a condom? I am not sure what one will have to do in the world now where sex is concerned.

If one takes medication will it help can herbs be of good use.

just last 2 weeks ago, i found that my bro, who i love dearly had HIV.. my life seems so different, i dun want to lose him, yet im freaking out..
I've been living with him for the past 6 months.. We share food, we share bed, we share drink, even he sometimes used my sruff.. i remember i read a case about a mom, whose son is infected, the mom got infected because the mom help to put some medication on the son's wound. this makes me even freakin out, cause once i remember i help my bro on his wet wound... i know im paranoid, but can i get infected? on the day he know he result, I actually went to test my blood, and the result is non reactive, but im still paranoid..especially when i read that it took 6-12 weeks for the virus to be able to detect.. about 4 weeks ago i got very bad sore throat, and flu like illness too.. even my hubby haa a prolong dry cough for almost 3weeks. i'm very very sad about him know, yet i'm worried so much i'll get infected.. the worst thing, i remember once he use my hubby's razor and get cut, buy my hubby didn't get cut, but guess after sometimes my hubby also use the same razor, can he get infected? he haven't do the blood test tho..

Ok so I have a question. Say I'm on the pill and I want to have sex with my boyfriend. We are both virgins and are perfectly healthy. If we don't use a condom, can we still pass on STI's/ STD's even though we have never had any other partners and are perfectly fine? Thanks.

i had pap test before 3 months & that time result came abnormal & my doctor found hpv virus in that.she said its one of the 10 risky types of hpv.so we did pap test again this week 3 days back.today result came & test came normal.i dont know how it happened?can u pls tell me what does this mean? how it came normal now?.i never had sex with anyone but i had 2/3 relationships without sex in which we did touching & kissing(deep) etc.can that cause hpv? why my test came normal this time
