Some STD's only require skin-to-skin contact. Bacteria and viruses that cause STD's can often live outside the body for a short period of time, also, fluid is exchanged during oral sex, so, get a dental dam or use a condom for oral.

If he has any type of sores you definitely could. Talk to your doctor about the safest way for you not to transmit. It may be embarrassing, but at least you'll know what to do.
