i heard that keeping a new ear ring in after getting it pierced is just so the hole wont close. so does this mean that i can switch the ear rings daily after two weeks and still allow the hole to heal? does the actual ear ring have anything to do with the healing process or is it just to keep the hole from closing?

Almost two weeks ago, i noticed that in between my bottom lip and chin i had a small rash, it was really red but it didn't really itch. at first it looked like dry skin but it hasn't left yet, and it looks like if someone scratched me. its not really big and its not really noticeable from far away unless you pay close attention to my face. what can it be?

My son is an athlete and recently like so many athletes
have been dealing with this problem. It started out with
minor itching so he proceeded to use over the counter stuff
for weeks without relief. It got worse and he started itching
in his palms as well. Then we realized after showers or minor
contact with the skin such as rubbbing he would develop
long welts on his arms or chest or neck in some places.
Went to the doctor and now is on oral pills for fungus. Has anyone else experienced athletes foot to this extreme. Been taking the pills now for weeks and these welts are still happening some times . When he scratches his palms it
looks like round lesions under the skin. He is so aggravated
and frustrated with the whole thing. Any suggestions?

There are alot of people asking if it works for newly formed stretch marks, but I only have old ones. I know that the only thing that will make them disappear completely is surgery, but will Mederma (or anything else) make several years old stretch markes less noticable?

They range from very small to MASSIVE.

I had a mole on my neck that started getting bigger about a year ago. Like a dork, I didn't think to get it checked right away. Recently a family member said I should really get it looked at, in case it was melanoma.

I went to a dermatologist for a biopsy. Trying to save me money (he doesn't take my insurance) he said he would just freeze it off because he's 99% sure it's a seborrheic keratosis. He freezes it, says it should fall off in two weeks.

That night I looked up keratosis and read that it's often hard to distinguish between a seborrheic keratosis and melanoma. Should I go back and have it biopsied? What would you do? Can a mole be biopsied after it's been hit with nitro?

i have sore and itchy armpits and persistant body odour. ive tried different deodrants, soap. not changed my fabric conditioner or washing powder and i still have the problem. doc prescribed me dri-clor which stings like hell and the next day doesnt seem to work. ive also tried anti-odorant which just makes my armpits itch like hell. they become so sore and itchy it is painful to apply deodrant but even when they are not sore, no amount of soap, shower gel, talc or deodrant can make the smell go away. i was wondering if anyone can help as the doctors help was useless and its really wearing me down. i cant even put my arms up or do a simple thing like walking to the bus stop without stinking and its really starting to affect my life. please help.

My husband has A LOT of body hair and he didn't have any until after he turned 19 and went overseas for two years to the Philippines. We waxed his back once, but he bled all over and it was so painful I don't want him to do that again. Is there an alternative to hair removal that doesn't cause serious pain or cost thousands of dollars (ie, laser hair removal)? Also, can anyone explain why he didn't have any body hair his whole life and came back from the Philippines like a gorilla?

I've had eczema since i was born but what everyone else says about there eczema sounds a lot different then what I have. Are there different kinds? people say that it itches and some say the get red bumps. I only have it one my face, mostly around my eyes, and they never itch. Its just get red blotches and sometimes sore. It also seems like the condition of my eyes is determined by the water i use to wash my face.

Any answere would be greatly appreciated.

My face is clear of infected pimples. About two weeks ago, I had numerous infected, reoccurring [sp?] pimples on my chin. ONLY my chin. It was awful. They looked awful... They hurt, I did everything I could to stop them from reoccuring... Nothing... I don't think I've ever seen someone with that many large, reoccurring [once again, sp?] pimples in one area. I think they came bacak again about eight times. Anyway. You want to know what I did... So, I looked it up online, and got an answer I liked... Something cheap, and natural... Garlic. Perhaps not the most apealing in terms of smell, but it works if you're desperate. I chopped a clove of garlic in half and rubbed it over the area until it is completely covered, and I can't say my face ever burned worse, BUT, after putting it on once in the morning and once before I went to bed I no longer have infected pimples. Of course, I do still have tiny pimples, but they are no longer infected. I would try this over the weekend. Good luck! :3

You know you're a lady when all you want to do is sit there and scratch your armpits.
But seriously- I have tried a lot of deodorants and I always end up with the same freaking rash. I've gotten a rash so horrid before it went from my chest to down the middle of my arms -- EW! And the pain..!
I have pretty sensitive skin... The only deodorant I can use is Dove's deodorant for sensitive skin, but...(it's silly I know) I don't like the fragrance.
So I've been running everywhere (with itchy pits) looking for a skin-friendly deodorant.

Btw; I heard somewhere that most deodorants are really harsh because they have small deposits of.. mercury in them, or something like that. I heard that most deodorants had tiny bits of that, which is used as an anti-perspirant because it clogs the skin. I guess most skins can handle it.. but my skin is wimpy. :(
Do you know of a more skin-friendly deodorant I could try? Preferably one that smells nice, of course.

i scratched off this thing on my nose, not quite sure what it is but its like a very small crater up close, and when i scratched it off, i saw a red blood spot and i squeezed it and blood came out in a dilute red form. can someone tell me what this is and what to do about it? it doesnt really hurt whatsoever when i touch it but the appearance is unsightly as it looks like a red dot on my nose. someone help please.
