i have sore and itchy armpits and persistant body odour. ive tried different deodrants, soap. not changed my fabric conditioner or washing powder and i still have the problem. doc prescribed me dri-clor which stings like hell and the next day doesnt seem to work. ive also tried anti-odorant which just makes my armpits itch like hell. they become so sore and itchy it is painful to apply deodrant but even when they are not sore, no amount of soap, shower gel, talc or deodrant can make the smell go away. i was wondering if anyone can help as the doctors help was useless and its really wearing me down. i cant even put my arms up or do a simple thing like walking to the bus stop without stinking and its really starting to affect my life. please help.

I know this is going to sound strange.
Wash yourself thoroughly,
Be sure to rinse off all the soap.
Pat yourself dry, do not rub.
It is quite possible that you
have picked up a "yeast infection"
Be sure to eat plenty of yogurt
or cottage cheese.
Now that you are dry,
Only use corn starch on the red areas that
are sore. Take corn starch with you,
when you go to the gym.
Go to the grocery store:
Buy PLAIN Yogurt no flavors or
fruit.
After a bath or shower
and you are patted dry.
Take the yogurt &
smear this where ever the sore parts are,
this will soothe the skin.
You may have to do this a couple of times,
but it will help the skin to heal.
This is my all time best healer of yeast infections.
Don't scoff, because I know it works.
You are going to let this dry.
Leave this on your body for about an hour,
then rinse off and pat dry.
Apply the corn starch again.
Only use A solid anti-persperant,
and dust with either baby powder or corn starch.
I used this method while I was in the hospital,
because they could not find anything
to get rid of my yeast infection.
My doctors in Texas said this is an old folk remedy,
but it does work.
I knew that.

And ladies, this is also an effective solution
to a vaginal yeast infection,
it is called a "yogurt douche"

Go back to your doctor and ask him for something else. There are other products apart from dri-clor.

Have a go with different prescription treatments before thinking about the operation, which has been suggested in other answers. The operation does have a good success rate but can cause your sweat glands to overcompensate in other areas instead, you may find for example that your pits are fine, but you start getting a terribly sweaty back etc.

Back to the docs, and see what else he will give you. Theres a range of things to try, so be persistent and try everything you can before you start thinking about operations or botox.

The smell is always in the pit hairs so always make sure you shave them totally away.
Other than that, there is a minor operation that you can have that seals off the sweat glands and stops you from sweating. You can also get botox injections these days aswell. Ask your doctor about it

i would rather eat the corndogs than use them as an antipersperant. 'course he's a quack, that or he's trying to pull off a practical joke, which i admit is pretty clever.
