Skin Conditions - January 2007

I went over to my sister's house and her 2 year old girl kittie has small scabs all over her skin. She didn't know how to fix it and she has so many cats (she takes in strays onto her farm) that she cant afford to take them to the vet when their's a problem. The only thing is this is one of the special ones that stay's inside at all times. She doesnt appear to have fleas or anything, but might have in the past. Why would she still have this problem though?

I have dark marks/scars all over my legs from picking at bites etc. People have suggested Vitamin E. I want fast results so i dont have to go through another summer being embarressed to wear shorts. How long does it normally take for Vitamin E to make a difference in the appearence of scars?

I have hyperpigmentation problems with my African-American skin and have spent a lot of money trying to find a solution both with and without a Dermatologist's assistance, yet I still have not found a solutions. So, my question is for anybody with African-American skin that has found a viable (what I mean by viable is illegal, inexpensive none Hydroquinone) solution to their hyperpigmentation. I would like to know what it is? And how long before you saw results?

Please only answer if you yourself was able to get rid of your hyperpigmentation. Thanks in advance.

I recently took my 2 year old son to his pediatrician due to some insect bites he had received at daycare, and was he was perscribed an antihistamine like cream to also control itch(they healed). One of his bites had continued to get larger and hurt my son when touched. I took him It got very red and was engorged. I returned to the Drs office where he had a lab sent off w/ the fluid drained out of it. I just received a call saying it came back positive for MRSA. I looked into MRSA, but I am so scared that It is in his blood. He now is on an antibiotic which he must finish til its gone. I'm scared and I don't really understand what MRSA is doing. What does MRSA do to the human body?

I just asked a ? a few minutes ago about any other ways to clean your belly ring other than Alcohol and antibacterial soaps...and someone told me to use hydrogen peroxcide and that's what I've been using for the past few days it seems to be doing fine...but my peircing isnt fully healed yet...Should I keep on using Hydrogen peroxcide or are you not suppose to use that on a hole in your skin that's still not fully healed?

Everytime I get out the bath I get itchy feet all over can anybody tell me why? Ive only done this the past month or so, and then I feel a little burning sensation. I dont have a rash on them, and I am using a well known brand named bath soak. Any suggestions?

I have had chapped lips for the past two years and they never go away. I have them 24/hrs and everything has been tried. I tried every lip ointment,balm,and chapstick out there. Includin sugested ones.Ive tried hydrocortisone,vaseline treatments, drinking more water home remedies EVERYTHING! what can i do they just keep coming bak and i cant take it anymore.Nothing at all works. well i just popped a huge pimple and the red spots around it are insanly huge!!! my whole forehead is covered!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

if i put hydrogen peroxide on the pimple, will the redness go down????
