Go to the dermatologist, I once had bad acne too. He gave me a lot of medications, the ones that I loved best were, T3 it came with it's toner, face wash, soothing lotion. Then he also gave me BenzaClin, BEST stuff ever! Try to not pick on your face, because then it leaves scar's too. The best thing about the medications that I received from the dermatologist is that they didn't make my face dry and it really helped out too. Hope it will help you too. Well hope all is well. bye
Natalie.

I use Neutrogena Acne Bar which is nice and mild on my skin. I also keep some benzoil peroxide on hand for zapping a big one! There are plenty of good products out there so just try to get something for sensitive skin.
If you are looking for a home remedy, you can do a search by entering acne home remedies in your search engine of choice.
Hope that helps!

Routine hygiene should not be considered as treatment for acne. Appropriate treatment for acne is designed to minimize inflammation and prevent scarring. Keeping the face (or other areas affected by acne) clean is important, but harsh scrubbing should be avoided. Gentle cleansers and warm water are recommended for most effective removal of excess skin oils, bacteria, and dead skin cells. Picking at acne lesions can be harmful. Greasy cosmetic products, sprays, and other irritants should not be used because they may worsen acne.
Over-the-counter topical (applied to the skin) treatments may include products with salicylic acid, resorcinol, benzoyl peroxide, or lactic acid. Prescription medications to help acne may include stronger topical medications, antibiotics, products that contain isotretinoin (for more severe forms of acne), and oral contraceptives for women.

I use a medicated Apricot scrub by St. Ives. It is very good. In addition to that, I always use a toner after washing my face. In the morning apply a good moisturizer, something with an SPF in it that is oil free. I usually use a tinted one by Oil of Olay. I find that anti-wrinkle creams often provide the best types of moisture, and besides...prevention is key to future problems.

I wouldn't use Apricot scrub to exfoliate your skin because the ground pits can lodge in your skin causing more outbreaks. If you use something to exfoliate your skin use something with micro beads. Clinque has a good one. I use to break out and I tried Mary K and I was very surprised. It worked very well.
