About 4 days ago i was playing with my German Sheperd, I gave her a big hug and then i felt my throat starting to sting. I didn't feel a bite it just started stinging and then it spread thru all of my neck, it was awful, there was pain and that awful burning, stinging sensation and i couldn't do anything about it. It didn't itch either, it just stung. For the first couple days i could see just a red spot but no bump, then on the third day the red spot became a red bump and now it itches. I doubt it was a mosquito bite because i've gotten mosquito bites before but it never felt like this. Could it of been a tick or a flea. If it was a tick or flea could this affect my pregnancy, if i am pregnant. Please help...

Went camping and tripped over a rock, fell and dirt and muck got stuck deep under my thumbnail. I cut the nail down and got some out, but there is still some dirt stuck underneath. Do I need to make a doctor's appointment or is continual application of bactine/hydrogen peroxide, etc., good enough?

i often get a skin problem. the problem is this. suddenly my skin starts itching in some area .previously i had it on my leg .now its my hand.its turns out to be a small boil.its becomes red. and within a day or two the near by places turn out red, where as the main part turns out brown.one day puss forms which would come out and what remains is a hole atleast of 0.2 to 0.5cm deep. when i went to the doctor he said "this often occurs because of the sweat getting into the hair root and so itching occurs and the space which was occupied with that sweat will remain as a hole".
though two different doctors say the same reason,i am not satisfied with that. see even now i have got something similar to it. and i donot sweat often. what shall i do to stop this. the area, turns into a black spot, which i cannot remove at all.what should i do to avoid this problem.any remedies to remove those black spots.

This problem first present in early May , this year. I thought then that it could have been reaction to a detergent, Nappysan , in which I had soaked a dressing gown over a long period of time. I got the first occurence of the rash after I had slept a couple of hours, with this dressing gown wrapped around me.
Since that time, I have had regular recurrence. I still do not know whether it is chemical or food related. I have changed washing detergents, and am unable to isolate a particular food or food group as the cause. I have never previously had a food-related or any other form of allergic reaction. Neither am I a sensitive type of person prone to experience negarivy body reactions to stressful situations or environments. Typically, the rash lasts for several hours and covers all of my body. Not very nice in the delicate regions. ALL suggestions for Cause & Cure welcome. Itchy@Scratchy-in-One

I bought some sunscreen on the net from Canada. It has an ingredient call MEXORYL in it. They wont/dont sell it in the US. I heard a blurb on it a while back but can't remember why it is superior to the US brands available.

My boyfriend has had psoriasis for 20 years, and I read posts from other sufferers with great interest. Unfortunately, all suggestions we've ruled out because he's done most of them - resulting in a damaged liver and light sensitivity now too. We've heard that sulphur treatment is another remedy - has anyone used it?
