sometimes when you first start using a new product like this that is cleansing dirt deep in your pores it will cause more breakouts than you had. But if it is a good product it should be effective shortly. I have very sensitive skin, and whenever I try something new it can cause a breakout.

My suggestion would be to give it two weeks to see if it starts working. That should be plenty of time.

Your question piqued my interest because I use AcneFree (after being a long time Proactiv customer) and it has been just as effective as Proactiv was and it is less drying than Proactiv was to my skin. I think it could be good for you if you give it a chance. Plus you can't beat the price.

Also I wanted to mention that it says to use it twice a day, but I find I only really need to use it once a day (at night) now that I've been using it a while. This will keep your skin from becoming too dry.

Good luck!

Alright well your best bet is to get to a drugstore and buy some Neutrogena products. They are decent. I had used this foaming cleanser (it is in an orange tube and is Rapid Clear something or other) it worked very well and my face did start to clear up a bit after using it. Also make sure you buy the small tube of Neutrogena Rapid Clear™ Acne Eliminating Spot Gel. Even though they say you shouldn't pick at it , i always picked at the pimple and tried to get as much of the infection out as possible and then cleaned it and put some of the gel on it. It cleared up pretty quick for me! Another thing that might help you is look for Sulphur Soap and/or a good facial cleanser with Benzyl Peroxide in it. Goodluck , i know what your going through!

The product is working , just give it a couple of weeks before your skin returns to normal. Most products works the same way. Breakouts are common because these products tries to clean out all the trapped oil under the skin, and so when they are released, they are in a form of ACNE.

you might be allergic to their product I say stop using it right now and go see a skin doctor check to see if your skin might have been damage by Acnefree because sometimes people might be allergic to some of the ingredients in it.

I've only had good results with Acne Free. I'm sorry to hear that you aren't. Maybe your are allergic to one of the ingredients. Personally, I tell people about Acne Free all of the time because it has done wonders for my adult acne.

It might be drying out your skin too much. If your skin gets too dry, your body will produce more oil to make up for it, and that can cause you to break out. I would just try a different product.

That's the problem, you bought a new product for your skin and its new to it and that's probalby why you broke out. if you never had the issue, stick with what you know... If you are goign to try something new try it in just a small spot hidden somewhere for at least a month.... first. to test it out

It sounds like you really didn't need it in the first place. Particularly that our skin produces oil that is necessary. If you strip too much of it, the skin will over-produce, causing pimples. I'd suggest drinking lots and lots of water and trying a mild soap morning and evening.

Sometimes when you switch products, it can throw off your skin.
Keep trying and see if it still causes you to break out. If it goes away, it was just your skin adapting to it.
