We thought my brother got bit by a brown recluse on his lip and between his fingers a few months ago. Its back now but, between his toes and on his hands along with the original areas. The skin blisters and peels. It is very painful and seems to kill the flesh and spread. The day before he had a horrible migraine and woke up the next morning with the skin red and irritated. It itched so, he scratced and the skin peeled off. He is very worried because the doctors told him they don't know what it is and to take pictures as it worsens. Any ideas of what this could be?

ABC's "Medical Mysteries" regular program aired on 08/09/06 and featured a rare physical affliction experienced by many thousands of people but is widely disputed by the medical community. It has a common symptom of itchy feelings underneath the skin and the feeling of something "crawling" underneath the skin. People who experience this anomaly claim that there is a fiberous growth that forms underneath the skin and is quite disturbing. In fact, some of the people claiming this affliction have resorted in amputating an arm or leg in order to be relieved of the suffering. The medical community claims that this "disorder" is merely the result of mass hypochondria and is totally psycological in nature. ABC has brought this problem out in the open but I can't seem to find any reference to it when I've gone to their massive ABC.com - HELP!

hello...i m a 21 F and i went to a GP recently who diagnosed me with fungal infection at the groin areas...the infection started around a month ago...he only gave me anti-fungal cream which i have been using for the past 5 days...despite using the cream....nothing seems to get better and more tiny bumps are appearing at areas near the groin as well....i wonder if anyone noes tt is it natural for new bumps to appear at this point in time and how long does it take for the fungal infection to go away ?

I have had a skin condtion for years... finally went 2 my family doctor for it... he referred me to a dermatologist... they both had no answer for me... the condition is deep pitted open sores that appear for the most part on my back, but also have appeared on my neck,behind my ears,face,legs and arms. They are round and very sore and leave a deep scar. Does anyone know what this is , what causes it and how to treat it??

i have all these pimples on my forhead and it's really bothering me. Im using loreal pure zone and spot treatment but it doesnt work plus it hurts when placed on the pimple. I've never had this problem before and it's really starting to annoy me. coz I've tried to not prick it but it still doesnt go away. it'll go away after a few weeks not days!! please help!!!

I asked a similar question before but new details. I orginally had a area below my elbow that when discovered looked like ring worm. It had rasied outline and flat center. Now is flaking. Inbetween then I also developed more spots. Only this rash started on my feet and hands, spread to my legs and arms. The bumps were small and red. Some of them were a bullseye designed. Now some of the spots are shrinking while others are expanding into larger spots whit red outlines and white centers. The doctors are unable to tell me what it is. I was wondering if anyone had any information on what it could be, etc. Thank you in advance.

I've tried everything. its not plantar warts. Ive tryed the liquod stuff and the the little circle thing that u put a band aid over nothing works. Its sick and i cant get rid of it.

I started to have very small red dots and now they developed into bigger red spots that are very itchy. They are on my legs, my butt, my back, my feet. I was thinking it might be hives but after looking it up, I dont think that is what it is. My two brothers and mom had it first and they went and seeked medical treatment but I have no way of getting ahold of them to find out what it was. I know my brother was given prednazone (sp?) does anyone know what this might be or why they gave him that medication? tia

I have stated to get it in little patches on my feet, and more so on my neck, these two places dont bother me a much as I can cover these areas with little effort, But more embarassingly I have got it in the insides of my legs and with the summer here now I dont feel I can wear bikinis? My son started complaining about itching thinking he had a insect bite. By Mondays when he showed me he had hives all over a couple on the face. They start as a pink circle then turn into raised hives that connect elongated. Anyone ever have a kid with this? Doc said benadryl and removed the new stuff in diet, did that and he is still getting them. Does anyone know how long it takes to get rid of course of this? Doc may see him today waiting on call she said cant be something he has always eaten but I think she is wrong anyone agree?

i laid down on the floor and had the remote control of my tv on my hand.the elbow part was with the floor.i stayed like this for some time watching tv.the blood circulation stopped .i could feel that in my elbow.after some days a bulge developed in my elbow.after a day i got a bubble type of thing in my elbow.the next day it grew big.i pressed it. the pus which was formed came out.but the quantity was less. with that some blood too came.This blood is now clotted and the skin is partly covered and i feel that the entire pus has not come out yet. the area is very hot and i am suffering from mild pain whenever i move my hand. is there any medicine or cream which can get that pus out of my elbow?
