Ive had em, my girlfriends had em (after baby) theyre a pain in the *** (sorry!). Creams help, or pills you shove up. Im afraid once youve had em, your then susseptible, again...forever!
The science? : theyre the viens at the top of your legs, that most of the blood goes through for your legs. They join in your bum, inside it, and outside. Some piles, or heameroids, are external, lumps, ouside the bum, some (mine, as was ) were inside. (one only just). This can be very uncomfortable, as it feels like you always need the loo! They have cycles...blood build up inside the vien, and forms a lump. Its uncomfortable. Then it bursts. you get some bleed, often not much, then it gets infected, because of its location, and itches, and because its a woud, hurts when you go toilets, as it rips the scar, again. Then it settles down...pressure builds up again....eventually it goes away, but with weakened areas, till next time you get constipated, and starts the cycle again. The lumps, of external ones will go away, I think...but then some of the porn films ive seen...some girls have got some wierd , er.."chocolate starfishes"?

You can find out more about natural hemorrhoids cure here http://curehemorrhoid.info
Diarrhea can contribute to hemorrhoid formation because the bowel undergoes pressure strains due to the condition. Undue pressure on the veins that make up internal hemorrhoidal structures can worsen existing damage. Internal hemorrhoids are not visible, unless they proplapse (protrude) from the anus, either constantly or during a bowel movement. If this is the case, then you have a grade III or IV internal hemorrhoid. If the protrusion is on the anal verge or the area surrounding the anus, then its likely an external hemorrhoid. Reducing pressure from issues of diarrhea and constipation will help. Not straining during a bowel movement, not lifting heavy objects, not sitting for extended periods, all will help.

An external hemorrhoid is simply a vein located at the anal verge, the wall of which as weakened and protruded. Don't push on it, this will only increase pressure and worsen it. The body has to repair the vein wall and rebuild the integrity. This takes time, perhaps weeks, if all goes well. Use sitz baths and over-the-counter medications such as pads or creams to provide symptom relief in the interim. These won't solve the issue long term, but will give the tissue a better chance at self-healing.

Internal hemorrhoids are a different matter and require more intervention. Your best bet is to educate yourself about the condition, its causes and what options there are to treat it both short and long term. Don't ignore it though, hemorrhoids tend to become chronic in nature, lasting years or decades in some cases.

You can use Preparation H or a similar product to shrink the swelling and be sure to eat plenty of fiber so you don't become constipated. (constipation makes hemorrhoids worse.) Also, don't sit or stand in one place too long. Get up and walk around. If the hemorrhoids are particularly bothersome, you can have them surgically removed. The old - fashioned way is for the doctor to put a rubber band around them so they fall off, but now it is often done with a laser so it heals very fast and is less painful.

yes i have them from giving birth to a big baby.
i use prep H which relieves the itching and reduces the swelling but hasnt as yet got rid of them. Its been like this for 19 months now. Went to the doctor a while back and got some suppositories they were wonderful but i have run out now and im too embarassed to go back to the docs, so im trying to get rid of them myself. Ive been told that pads of gauze soaked in witch hazel and then frozen are good for getting rid of piles so im gonna try that next. keep you posted on how that goes.

btw ive tried eating all bran, laxatives and drinking 2.5 litres of water per day all with little or no effect, i think im gonna have to have the op oh the shame.

Yes, and all the answers you've had are right. One word of warning - never, EVER confuse Anusol with a similarly packaged cream called Deep Heat. The results are best described as interesting.

They're caused by straining. Are you getting enough water everyday? Should be about 1.5-2.0 liters depending on your size. Best thing to do is tuck them back up inside after you have a BM or if you feel them bothering you. SERIOUSLY!!
