Well, I am dealing with the same infec rihgt now. To the best of my knowlege anyway. I don't see the gyno until the 22nd. The pharmacist recomened an antifungal creme and it kept spreading. It would go away in the groin but then the upper thighs kept itching! I stilll don't dare go out in public. I don't know about the bumps but I do know that the gyno must have been wrong. Better go back.

Fungal infection of the groins would present as ring shaped flat scaly lesions and not bumps. Only an anti fungal cream would take time to resolve the condition about 10 to 15 days atleast. I suggest you see a dermatologist. You might need oral anti fungal medicines.
Fungus in the groin is seen mostly if there is too much of moisture in that area either due to sweating or not drying that area after baths. Obesity also can precipitate fungal infection.
So meet a dermatologist to confirm the diagnosis of fungal infection.

No, it is not. Some creams don't work for certain people. I imagine that he gave you Tetrizone, but I can't say for sure. Eat a ton of yougurt, go back to hime, tell him it's not working, and see what he says. Give it another week, though. Antibiotics don't work until the third day or so, so why would a cream work any faster? Buy some Summer's Eve feminine wash and wash frequently, and remember, to prevent further infections, wipe from font to back. It will take about 15 days for the fungal infection to go away. (P.S.- It's a yeast infection. Your GP just used a technical name.)

I once had a fungal infection of the groin. Come to find out it was not just one type of fungal infection but several at the same time. My doctor actually gave me a prescription of several types of creams that I had to mix before applying it. He also told me to make sure that I cover not only the area of where the fungal was but all of the groin area to keep it from spreading. He also told me to make sure that I keep the area really clean and allow it to air dry as much as possible. He even suggested that I use a folded paper towel in my pany line to help proctect that area from the constant rubbing of my underwear as well as to help with the moisture that would be produced not only by my own body due to sweating but by the fungal infection itself. I hope that this helps- I know that it helped me.

Maybe you should try going to see a Sexually transmitted disease clinic!
It may not be a fungal infection if the cream isn't working. You may need anti-biotics.
Stick to wearing light cotton underwear as this helps to keep you cool down there!
Fungal infections can be caused for many reasons. It isn't necessarily a dirty thing. It may be that as it is summer you are sweating and wearing the wrong type of undies!
Make sure you wash daily with non-perfumed soap and pop back to your doctor and tell him the cream isn't working.
Good luck.

It is natural. Prevention - Apply Vaseline, Coconut Oil, Avoid Swetting in your groin. Wipe out your groin after a continuous ride or drive. Cure - Apply Nobosulf (Neosprin) powder mixed with Coconut oil. 3 to 4 drops of coconut oil with very little of nobosulf. The mixture should give the look of a liquid paste. When in private allow the air to pass there. Some time in place of nobosulf you can also apply Itch guard, Wring Guard etc. Care - Don't rub when it is itching. Check your undergarments, avoid tight undergarments. Check your bra also. Similar problem can occur below the breast where the bra stap is in contct with your skin. And also at the waist where the Petticoat or Suit is tied in your waist.

I think its better you go to another doctor for advise.
It would be best you get a oral medication which has anti-microbial activity for yourself.
My GF has it be4 and her doc gave her pills as well as topical medication.
U better go fast. Its wierd if it still starts spreading when the topical cream is applied. It means that the cream is not working and the moisture of the cream is actually making the condition worse by making the area more favourable for the microbe.

You need to keep using the cream for about a week or so after it clears up just to make sure it is gone. If it doesn't start clearing up soon go back to your Dr. and tell him or her, so they can give you something different.
