I have Hashimotos (hypothyroid) and have had it since I was 12 years old. I am now 27 and just had a baby boy 3 months ago and since his birth .. my TSH is high!
TSH - 5.05
T4Free - 1.28

*so, my doctor increased my Synthroid from .137mcg to .175mcg. -- my question is:
I've been on the new dose for 1 week [as of yesterday] and some symptoms have subsided [my feet aren't as cold, and I'm not AS tired all the time] but my weight is exactly the same! I'm NOT losing any weight! When will I see weight loss results??
[I have 32 lbs. of baby weight to lose]

The last time i took the tab for acne was around 11 30 pm last night and i plan on drinking alcohol tonight around 8ish pm. I can't really find much online about interactions caused by Sulfamethoxazole and alcohol. But even if it could cause bad effects, would the drug be out of my system by tonight anyways? im only looking to have maybe 3 or 4 beers

I love to perform! Ive been performing since i was a little kid. But now my nerves are taking control of me! All because of a solo one time i got sick when i came offstage. But now its getting me nervous about everything! I cant do dancing solos anymore because im nervous about getting sick. And now im nervous to perform a routine with 39 other girls on the team and 247 band members. Were performing and Hofstra and i dont know what to do! I hate performing now because im nervous about getting nauseous but in reality im only nauseous because im nervous about it! Any help? I realllly need some!

i have had millions of little scabs in my bellybutton for a few years now. my mom doesnt think that is important enough to go to the doctor about so i have never been. abot 5 minutes ago i cleaned it with peroxide and it cleaned away mostr of the scabs but it burns TERRIBLY! and when i cleaned it the peroxide bubbled more than i have EVER seen it bubble before. What is it? (what is the disease?)

I've been on meds for about 5 days now for a UTI and was starting to feel better but last night I started getting awful flank pain that kept me awake and when I don't have the sharp pains I have a dull ache and nausea. The sharp pains only last a few seconds at a time but are awful. I'm wondering if my meds aren't working and this is becoming a kidney infection? I don't have a fever but I feel sick and I've been peeing so much its driving me nuts. Does this sound like a kidney infection? I think I need to see my doc again on monday.

I have not been feeling well since thursday. Started having blood in my urine friady and woke up this morning having really bad pains in my kidney area and feel like I have a fever a slightly sick to my tummy. I don't want to go to the ER. Been reading if left untreated there are some really bad side effects like kidney failure and such....can I wait till Monday..drink lots of fluids so I can go to my regular doctor or should I go to the ER now?

I am very confused on what to do with my 2 month old son. He recieved his first set of shots on October 1st but i have been reading and told by many family members that i should stop the vaccinations until at least 2 years old. And To give my son the important shots but not all of them that the hospitals are schedualing. But i do not know which shots are "the important ones" Im not sure if the vaccination companies are introducting these new vaccinations due to a more recent outbreak, or if they are doing it jut to make money. And if i dont give my son the shots i take a chance of him getting one of these diseases. There is no proof that the shots cause Autism, but from the articles ive been reading it sure makes sense. Also i looked up my shot record (from 1982-3) I had 3 shots when i was a child Polio, MMR, and DTP and thats it! Mind you i have a 4 1/2 yr old and he recieved all his required shots up till now & he is fine. but i know a lot of people whos 2nd son is the one 2 get it.

I have been suffering following symptoms since January:
*Pain around ribs on the right-hand side of the abdomen
*Diarrhea or really soft ****
Of course, I have been seen gastology specialist. I did blood
test includes for internal organs, Hepatitis, HIV. I did stool test,
ultrasound for abdomen, CT scan with UV, colonoscopy,
upper gastrocamera. Only thing they found out from all tests,
I have mild fat tissue on my liver, but my doctor were not able to find out what is causing my pain and diarrhea.

When I touch my ribs on the right-hand side of the abdomen,
I just found out there are pain today. When I need to go for poo,
I have to go to bathroom right away because I can not hold.
I can not enjoy my life now.
I appreciate your advise. Whom I should ask for help?

Im 16 and was diagnosed with M.E when i was 11.
I've been told recentley that i also have fibromyalgia.
The thing is i went to see a fibromyalgia specialist last week whos said i could just have fibromyalgia, but my doctor at the hospital says i have both as they intertwine with each other.
Im really confused about it all now so any advice would mean alot

My Dr. Said my thyroid levels are low, I hate taking drugs for the side effects they always cause. MUST I take drugs for this?What will happen if I don't take Synthroid. or stoptaking it after 2 months of being on it?

Medium sized company is offering my best friend Mark the following: PPO, family monthly premium is $645, he has to pay that monthly! with co-pays, etc, = but employer pays 25% of premium. I never heard of such a policy. Does this sound right? I thought if you get employer paid healthcare you only pay a small premium, work in plan and pay copays. Can someone explain this to us?? What is the point?

I know have approx. 15 stents in my legs and 10 in my heart area. Will my body allow me to continue to fight this battle or will there be a time when I just have too many stents?

I've had so many ear & sinus infections thru the years, that when i take an antibiodic, after a few days i start shaking. One time they had me one a mega dose too long & it started it all.Now what do i do?

I thought that i had it under control by taking echinacea & golden seal, & drinking a ton of water, but my ear infection is back ! what do i do??

For about 2 months I have been getting cramps in the lower left and right parts of my abdomen, and sometimes just random crampy pains all over the stomach. I'm having a unltrasound and barrium in a week but was wondering what I could expect they might find.

Here are some of my symptoms:

* The stomach cramps ( on left and right but more frequent on right)
* I can feel the pain in my lower back in cramp from too
* Sometimes get an extremely sharp pain so bad I am doubled up ( this only happens on the lower left side)
* Pain sometimes in upper right abdomen
* occasional blood in stool
* loose stools
* stool is very tiny, comes out in pebbles no bigger than finger nail. (too much info sorry)
* Mucous in stool
* Always really tired
* Hips and thigh area are sore/joint pain
* my eyes are sore lol
Sometimes the pain goes away completely and I can't feel it for hours and then other times its there almost constantly but in cramp form.
Anyone know these symptoms??

Tody i ate normally and I was fine until supper and when i layed down I like barfed(spit) up acid and food sooo many times and it came up like vomit. I have acid refluex but this should not be happeining.. is my body rejecting my food because it got soo used to not eating??

My grandmother had sevre arthritis (wheelchair bound at 40), none of her daughters have it, I have been told genes and traits can skip a generation is this true?
