I was told to walk....this helps work the bubbles downward rather than upward into the chest area. It sometimes works But, I have found that lying on my side with my knees bent seem to help force them upward quicker and brings relief much faster. (I found that idea on the internet, one of those doctor sites, cant remember which one)
Good Luck, hope you find something that helps...from experience, I know those things are extremely painful sometimes.

Sometimes gastric bypass makes it hard to burp. Try changing positions. Try drinking some water.
