I countinally black out when I stand up, this happens for about 5-20 seconds and gets really annoying! I am your typical teenager playing the sport of the season, and am in very good shape. Please someone help, I have been to the doctor, and they just tell me to eat more salt, but that doesn't seem to work for me, so please someone I need advice! Thanks!

Please Read - I am 24, 6'3", a white athletic male. In 2004 I was diagnosed by a family doctor to have elevated hemoglobin, too much iron and protein in my urine. He quickly thought I had Polycythemia Vera and sent me on to a hemotologist. Two months later when I visited the hemotologist he told me he didn't know what I had but he thought it definitely ISN'T Polycythemia Vera. He strongly urged me to quit smoking and follow up with him. Shortly after I was wrongfully fired from my job and lost my insurance. I stupidly never followed up with anyone from that day on. Still today, 3 years later, I have not quit smoking either. (I have Chantix which I will try in November.) Also, lately weird things happen. I get that "funny bone" buzzing pain in my hands and feet if I squeeze them strangely, like I have too much blood. I sometimes have hour-long sneezing fits that feel "blood-swollen" in my sinuses. I get random itchy "bite"-looking rash marks that disappear in hours. What should I do?

I go next Friday and I couldn’t be more nervous. I never like this and I think its because I will be going in there blind. Anyone out there been through this just so I can get an idea? So far all they know is that it is affecting outside and in.

I have tried all the things I've read online, high fiber diet, enzymes, all that jazz. But still, every time I eat I feel awful for the next (at least) two hours. I feel nauseous almost all the time, and I have heartburn like crazy. Anyone know if there's anything I can do before I resort to medication of some kind? Or could there be some issue my body's having with no gall bladder? I mean, they tell you you don't need one after all, but I've felt l pretty awful for as long as I can remember.

I'd really love a somewhat professional opinion. The surgeon I speak with periodically says this is all normal and that he can give me some pills for the discomfort, but I really don't want to be taking synthetic drugs for the rest of my life. Especially being only 23, that seems pretty ridiculous. Anyone in medical school or some doctor bored at his/her desk? Please let me know. Thanks so much...VERY appreciated!

my boyfriend has been complaining of stomach pain for ages. and the last few times he went the toilet he said there was blood in his stools, he says he doesn't need to see a doctor and also doesn't want a doctor going near his back passage, i am worried sick as it sounds serious to me, but i cant get him to go any ideas!

I had polio as a child and my left leg was affected. i had a fall 15 months ago, and as a result I have bad painful leg ulcers now. my dr has suggested Hyperbaric Therapy. Has anyone experienced good results from this?

What does this sound like? I have sooo many symptoms

* Lower abdominal cramps on left and right sides (used to be only on right but moved to left) going for about 2 months

* had appendix out 3 months ( they found bag of infectous fluid around appendix but no actual appendicitis

* Pain is about the same as I was having with bag of fluid


* Have had 6 episodes of stool with blood in last 2 months

* Yellow mucus around stool (sometimes tiny specks of blood in mucus

* Joint pains

* always tired

Does anyone know what this sounds like?? I am having tests done, but would appreciate the help.

lately iv been feeling so tired a rundown i sleep all day and i wake up tired i can sleep for 15 hours and wake up tired i feel weak and out of it and just all around sick i feel like im jumpy im always cold ..i just feel sick iv been to my dr and he says im fine but i dont feel fine im 16 and i feel like im 80 i have no energy to do anything at times i feel like i can barely eat and others like im starving..my mind feels fogged this had been for mabye the past few weeks whats could this be...

I know that we have vaccinations for a reason; to prevent the certain desease to come back, right? Well, for example, Polio, it is pretty much emiminated in the USA, however it is NOT in other countries, so I know that since parents know it is gone here in the USA it can't come back, but IT CAN and that is why we still use this vaccine, because even though it is not present, it CAN come back, so why do people think this way? (And this is for other dieases as well.)

Also, other dieases are showing up more and more because parents are not vaccinating, so why exactly are people against vaccinating, when the diseases are not totally eliminated?

okay i had surgery 4weeks ago to remover a tumor . okay they had t cut the nerves that goes to your leg . the doctor said i would be numb from the knee up to my thigh . well he also said i would never walk again . but i can walk and the numbness is not that bad but my question is if they cut the nerves will i be able to get the feeling back in my leg ever again im only 22 and i cant live with this all my life i want to be able to run and jump again like a norbale person . please help im so upset and depressed

Husband had cardiac cath in May, internal bleeding left him with hugh scrotal hematoma. Swelling gone now but testicle is hard and very painful. Has doctor appointment for Nov, but hopes someone out there is familiar and give advise on pain.

parasites on here. My father in law is very sick, He drank some water with a parasite in it, but no one knows what to do. He had doctors from three Mayo clinics take a look at him, and they won't do anything until friday. He has lost about 40 pounds, unable to eat anything, as it comes out the other in the form of water. He took a trip to North Carolina about 2 months ago, that's when he got sick. Please help, we don't want to lose him.

I was hospitalized almost two days ago. I was given three bags of Saline, and as a result, I have retained so much water. I am bloated, swollen, and have gained 9 pounds. How long does it take for Saline to leave the body, and when can I expect to loose the bloat and added weight?
