He needs to get over his homophobia and go to the doctors. I don't know what he is thinking that anyone would find examining his rear as gay.
You need to do some online searches about it to see how serious it could be--it can be very serious.
Also ask him, where would he rather be examined? In the privacy of his physician's exam room? Or the ER when he can't stand the pain anymore and has to sit on a gurney with his butt hanging out for everyone to see in the ER with only curtains separating patients? I don't think an ER doctor or nurse is going to be very patient about examining either.
Good luck.

I'll throw a few jokes in, but this could be very serious and that's the only reason I'm breaking the code and telling you how to manipulate your man (I assume your female, or else the back passage wouldn't be a big concern for your boyfriend. hahaha)
The "back passage" concern is very common among males. I'm 22 and my girlfriends want me to go see a doctor just for a routine check-up/physical because I smoke (many things) and drink. But I won't. I stay out of jail for the same reason I don't go to the doctor, my virgin anus is gonna stay just that, virgin.
However, I'm not pooping blood. If I was, I would go to the doctor.
Here's what you do. First step is do what was mentioned above, research it and come up with one or two possibilities of what it could be. Then, sit your man down and tell him that you phoned a doctor. You explained to this doctor what was happening and he said to "get this guy in right away as it could be serious". Don't stop there, tell him that you also mentioned his concern of the "back passage" being violated to the doctor and that the doctor assured you that the first step is just a blood test (very well could be). He's not afraid of needles is he? doesn't matter anyhow, he'll be too embarrassed to admit it if he was. At the point you told him it's serious and that it's only a blood test, he'll be a lot more open to the idea of going. Then just work your feminine charm and he'll be there in no time.
Other ideas in case the above fails:
- offer sexual favours (sounds sleazy, but always gets me to do what the women want)
- tell him the doctor said it could lead to impotence, but be damn sure to make it believable. He'll find out this was a lie and get mad, which is why I didn't mention this above, but it will work. Impotence is the ONLY thing worse than losing your manhood to a latex glove. By the time he finds out it's complete BS, he'll be at the doctor. It's very easy to say I'm not going, but once there it's hard to say no to a doctor who's telling you that something needs to be done.

red blood in the stool is not, repeat NOT, an emergency. Fresh blood, which is red, is 99% of the time from internal hemmorhoids which bleed because the stool is too hard. If there were internal bleeding, it would take much longer for the blood to reach the rectum and it would turn black, so black stools indicate a serious problem.
stomach pain and bloody stools, constipation is the problem here. He needs to drink at least two liters of water a day, and eat more fiber rich foods. Sodium docusate, a stool softener can be gotten in any drug store, taken once a day, it will draw water into the bowel to soften the stools so they don't irritate the internal hemmorhoids. So calm down, he probably doesn't need to see a doctor yet.

Hmm that if quite tricky. If I were you, I would explain to him how worried you are about it, and explain that the doctors can't do anything to him without his permission. Just explaining it to a doctor is a start and he/she can explain the possibilities. Don't forget a doctor does this every day, and he's probably seen far worse.
Good luck with this :-) and remember if you look anything up on the Internet to do with this subject it's hard to find definite answers, so don't worry yourself over something you've read (if you do/have).

I think it's much more important that the doctor looks right up his rusty star rather than messing around in his back passage.
The probability is he'll love being fingered by the Doc.

Tell him not to be so juvenile and go. Else suffer the consequences. I hope he sees sense. Get him to look at the answers to the question you ask on here. Good luck.

Tell him bowel cancer is a fast killer and a dammed painful one.
This is true - however, the chances are he doesn't have it (but you don't need to tell him that)
