I am 14 years old, for a while now, everytime I eat something, it feels like I have something stuck in my throat. No matter how much I swallow or drink something it doesn't go away. I chew my food very well and all, so I don't know what's going on. Also, when I'm eating, I periodically need to drink something to wash the food down. I'm not sure if this helps, but when I was younger, I would always get a heartburn, but not anymore. I told my parents yesterday, and I'm going to the doctor's office in 1 hour. I was just wondering if any knew what it could be. Thank you.

I've been to doctors for years and have still yet to figure out if I really have something wrong with me. I'm starting to feel a bit crazy or a hypochondriac. Anyway is there a certain way to explain your symptoms to a doctor, so they will take you more serious?

For years I have TMJ, a herniated disk in my lower back and the disk in my knee is detracting as well. Not only this I have "points" on my body places if they are touch cause extreme discomfort - like a big bruise or have sharp random pains. Sternum, Collarbones, Ribs, Lower back near tail bone, hips, sides of upper Thighs, sides of upper arms, either sides of my neck. This is also combined with extreme fatigue. Lately I have been sweating at night while I sleep. Anyway just not sure what else to do or to tell the doctors to have them help me. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

As many know I have multiple sclerosis..lately ive been having so many panic attacks its not even funny. my biggest problem is clausterphobia...i have to take 2 to 3 MRIs a year. all i ask for is a medication to keep me in the mri machine for an hour and 20 min. he sends me a 2mg valium?? im sorry and i hate it but that just wont work for me. he belittles me by saying a woman of my age should overcome my fears just relax and get over it. all i did was cry...im not making it up..im terrefied of the MRI machine especially for that long. he just makes me feel like im a silly child...people have this fear. i know im not the only one...why does he make me feel like i am?

I get a lot of ovarian cysts. Diagnosed with them when I was 13. I am now 15 and obviously female. When I feel one burst, it starts out in my lower stomach, then radiates up and through my back. It lasts for about 10 minutes depending on size. Is this an ovarian cyst? Or could it be something with my kidney. Whenever I feel cyst pain its always on my right side. Right in between my hip bone and the bottom of my ribs and into my back. thanks for anything. It hurts so bad I can even breathe. if i take a deep breath i cough. i dont even want to move when it happens.

I think only an idiot or someone really desperate would take those b.s. drugs. If you haven't heard, the drug companies are making you sicker!!!! So when you see something that says, it will cure your asthma, (in a low voice: but you will get nausea, heart attacks, stomache, vomit, kill your liver) why in the hell would you want to do that to yourself? Cure" one thing and get 10 other diseases? NO THANKS!

Hey guys. Me again. Sorry if my questions seem very repetitive, this is the second similiar kind of question I've asked.
The problem is I'm very confused, I have this "condition" (not sure what else to call it at the moment) which I can't quite put my finger on to find out what the cause or problem is, or what I can even do about it. I thought it was delayed gastric emptying, but then somebody said that doesn't exist? So what have I got?!
Symptoms are: no feeling in the stomach, no sense of hunger or fullness, wanting to eat all the time (I'm wondering if this is for emotional reasons or not), extreme depression and frustration because of it.
So what is it? And what can I do about it to get my stomach better again?
I have tried asking my GP, but she wasn't very helpful. A little discouraging actually.

Okay, this is what it was like, but it is really hard to explain so just bear with me here:

Put both of your hands up like you're going to give someone a "double high-five" or you're pushing something away (i.e. fingers spread apart, hands up straight). Then face your palms in towards each other, about 2 inches apart. Bend both of your middle fingers down and press your nail beds together. Then let the rest of your fingers bend slightly so that they're not sticking straight up.

She did NOT have me do all the steps in that order or anything, I was just trying to explain the position that my hands were in. In reality, she just made that same hand position with her own hands and said, "do this." This was an appointment with a gasteroenterologist for evaluation of acid reflux, if that matters.

I'm very curious as to what that test was supposed to do. Maybe she just had a sick fetish, I don't know. SHe was an odd duck. Thanks in advance! I'll pick a best answer TODAY!!!!!!!!!

medical experts, plz help!!!
Please come to a quick rescue of a Chinese college girl student (20 years old), who is suffering an unknown disease. She can not retain any sodium in her body. She keeps losing it. She is now hospitalized in Beijing. Doctors there can not tell why it happens and can not stop the lost. All they can do is prescribe salt in capsules for her to take in to supply the losing element needed in her body. And she has to minimize the water-taking, as she loses sodium in urinating.
It all happened four weeks before when she began to get ill like she was having a cold. She felt weak and had a fever. A doctor examined her and asked about her health history and the girl reported that she had suffered myocarditis when she was 14. The doctor concluded that her cold induced the outbreak of the past disease and prescribed some medicine by fluid infusion. However, she got worse after the injection: she had violent spasm and run into great danger. She then was transferred to a Beijing hospital and doctors there can not decide on her case, either. Now the girl looks quite pale and is very weak. She is losing weight increasingly. She has fever and occasionally it runs very high.
Can anyone help the poor girl?
I am very sorry that I can’t give sufficient information for her illness. I’m one of her teachers and I’m not in medical field. We are now in different cities: she is in Beijing and I am in Tangshan, 240 km apart. I am trying to collect the necessary data about her condition but it takes time. My appeal is to attract attention from advanced medical experts worldwide, who want to know more and have a golden heart to help the needed.
A thousand thanks!!!

my mother has fybromalgia which is a muscle disorder like arthirtis. It is very painful and sometimes she gets muscle spasms and you know muscle spasms can be very powerful and painful. This morning she got a spasm in her back while she was standing and she couldn't move because the pain is so bad so she just collapsed and hit her head on the edge of a table.I heard the fall when I was upstairs and I flew down to see what had happened. Then when we tried to help her up she didn't know what had happened. She seems alright. She remembers everything except for the fall.I was crying. I am worried because I was thinking that maybe it was a mild stroke or something. I want her to go to the hospital but she wont go. And plus she may have a head injury. So I know that fybromalgia cause muscle spasms but do muscle spasms cause blackouts. Thank You

Hi I'm life long warfarin because of rcurrent PE's and am desperately wanting to get rid of some tattoo's i stupidly had done many yrs ago (before i went on warfarin).
Most of the tattoo parlours I have asked will not tattoo me simply because i am on blood thinning medication. My GP did not know what to suggest and while he felt certain that being tattooed could cause potential blood infections, he referred me to a Plastc Surgeon who i saw today. He sugested that the process of tattooing would cause superficial wounds and bleeding that could be stopped with direct pressure, and also suggested that i have a small tattoo done to see what the results would be. I have mentioed this to another tattooist who was very concerned at this advice and while happy to do the covering, clealy felt i was ill at that time and should return when i felt more better (obviously earning himself a substantial figure) I know laser treatment is another option but less likely available on the NHS.
Any ides's

I might have Lupus. I alwys have a fatigue (it's such a drag), my body is always exhausted. It is a struggle just to move from one room to another. I get out of breath very easily, just from walking to the kitchen to the dining room. I feel like I just ran 10 miles. Is this a symptom of Lupus, or autoimmune disease.

And, yes, I am seeing a rheumatologist, but he's not very good at listening and helping!
