Okay, I have this pain that associates with basically every symptom of appendicitis. I went to the doctor and they said that I was I had some stool backed up in my colon, so they put me on a laxative. It worked and I got cleaned out and everything, but I still had the pain (it down-graded somewhat). I'm going for an ultra sound soon and I was wondering if you guys thought it might be appendicitis. I just want to be prepared.

P.S. I'm 13 years old and a female.

I have taken Lipitor off and on for a few years. I began hearing about side effects such muscle weakness, joint pain and liver damage and I had been experiencing side effects myself, so I did some research and found some frightening reports. I stopped taking it 10 days ago and still have symptoms. Is there permanent damage?www.medications.com/go/se/Lipitor

my wife has been in pain since may this year, in bouts, i cant figure out any pattern apart from when its really really bad , it seems to be around 3.00 in the morning on the weekend.not necessarily after shes been drinking! she gets doubled up pain shooting from just below her right side ribcage to the right side
when admitted her blood pressure was up, she had blood in her urine when tested. the centre of her tummy under her ribcage went hard and bloated for a while.
she has had several scans,no gallstones or sludge showing .a hida scan showed her gallbladder was working slowly.

she is in hospital now and on 20 of morphene and tramadol every 3/4 hours and her pain level varies from 8 to 6 out of 10 depnding on whether shes just had a dose or not. she is still not out of pain at any time .
unusual thing to me seems that she is in more pain when she breathes out (does that mean only the edge of her ribcage is pressing on something ?-if so what)
anyone got experience of this ?

I have had burning whenever I pee for about 2 days now. I've had 2 UTI's before but when I had those, I felt much worse because I also had the lower abdominal pain too. What I have now is just the burning when I pee. I had sex with my b/f on Saturday 3 times, so could this just be something caused from that? I don't really want to go to the dr's just yet, but should I be worried?

I went to the eye Dr for vision problems and headaches. THey ordered a cat scan that revealed a problem with my P.T. gland (a macroadenoma) and they've asked me to get an MRI next. The blood work they did is back and it's indicating I have a very high white cell count. The tests results also read "Sed Rate-Westergren-- 40". The normal range for that was 0 to 20. I don't even have a clue as to WHAT that is. But it's kind of scaring me. I won't see the Dr. about the results until after the MRI is all done and I'm currently waiting for the appt to made and for the Dr's office to call me. I'm worried.... Because I know about the Leaukemia. As for an infection, the only infection I know of is a cyst that won't heal up and go away (had it for almost a year now). I also have recently starting having a problem with C.O.P.D. and have something called Complex Hyperplasia.

I'd appreciate any serious replys...... Thanks.

My 4 year old so is having pain with his penis. it comes on at least twice a day some times upwards of five times a day. When it happens he grabs his penis lays on the floor in a fetal position and twitches almost as if he's having convulsions. I have already taken him to his ped. and he tested him for a UTI which came back negative so he sent him for an ultrasound to check his bladder, kidneys and appendix. The ultrasound turned up nothing. He then prescribed him a cream for me to put on it thinking that maybe there was some other kind of infection in it, the cream also did not help so his Dr. said that he couldn't find anything and he has no clue as to why he is experiencing this pain and has run out of ideas on what it could be. if anyone has any ideas on what might be causing it please let me know. I can't bear the thought of him continuing to suffer like this It breaks my heart to see him in so much pain and know that at this point there's nothing I can do to make it better :(

Ok, I just started a computer job and now my right hand tingles and shakes sometimes. Its like I've lost control of the muscles. It doesn't hurt and it doesn't necessarily stop me from doing my job but I was curious as to what the medical community thinks of this or if it's something that some hand strengthening exersizes will fix. I love my job and don't want to give it up, but if this is something that will only get worse, like carparal tunnels (spelling?) then I would also like to know how to fix it. Thank you to any and all answers, all information is appreciated.

It's been three years. My CPAP machine (sleep apnea) does not seem to be helping. I have no personal or social life due to having lost interest in everything. My work life is to the point where I cannot function fully and will likely lose my job without improvement in my health.
My family doctor, endocrinologist, neurologist, and a psychiatrist have not found any answers.
Are you aware of any facilities who can take as much time as needed to check everything (head to toe). I am willing to be part of any experimental treatments or clinical studies.
I need help. This is no way for anyone to live. I have no problem knowing that I have a medical situation... but not knowing what the situation is and what can be done about it feels like a form of torture.
Any info you can share would be appreciated.
I am in northeast Ohio.

My grandmother was just diagnosed with alzheimer's. We had thought for a while that she had it, by certain things she would do or not do and she is depressed often. She was put on Aricept (I think it is spelled). I was wondering if there was a difference between alzheimer's and dementia, or are they about the same disease? Also, is there anybody else out there who had or does have a relative with these diseases? Can you share what you have went through? Alzheimer's is a horrible disease. My grandmother hasn't gotten to the point of forgetting her family members or her past or anything yet. I dread if that ever happens. But things she is going through right now is hard enough, when she was always so smart and skilled and "on her toes" so to speak. Now things are different. She's often a different person. It's a sad thing for her and her family who love her.

Hi,
Does this sound like vertigo? Okay, its sort of a pulsing throb in my ears, eyes, head, and sometimes into my chest and arms. It doesn't hurt. Its sometimes a dizzy feeling. My mom and grandma have vertigo, but its really a hard thing to describe. Like I said, its a pulsing sort of feeling, when I move around, move my eyes in quick movements, loud noises, or sudden movements around me. Is this vertigo? I also have ringing in my ears a lot, I don't know if that has anything to do with it. But its weird, sometimes I'll get vertigo before my period starts. What do you think?
