I have had burning whenever I pee for about 2 days now. I've had 2 UTI's before but when I had those, I felt much worse because I also had the lower abdominal pain too. What I have now is just the burning when I pee. I had sex with my b/f on Saturday 3 times, so could this just be something caused from that? I don't really want to go to the dr's just yet, but should I be worried?

Chances are you have a UTI. If your other UTIs were recent, you'll need to go on a different course of antibiotics, and I would recommend asking the doctor for an extended course (possibly two weeks). Bactrim is not effective for UTI, although it is for bladder infections. You may need something like Cipro if you have a UTI.

Be sure to ask about the nitrite and white cell levels in your urine sample . . .

Best of luck . . .

usually, if its UTI, there's also frequency and urgency along with the burning sensation. in lay terms, you go to the CR a lot more times than your normal, and there are times when you feel you need to pee urgently only to pee a little when you're actually in there. if you have fever, that can signify infection also. its also a UTI if the burning sensation is during pee-ing. but if you feel the burning when you're done peeing, probably its urethritis, i.e. inflammation of your urethra due to sexual massage. but you can also have UTI from sexual intercourse. i suggest you just see a doctor and have a urinalysis... :)

Could also be one of several STDs. You'd better go to the doctor now while you still have symptoms, because some STDs disappear and then reapper later in a much more serious way.
