You have to consider how he is being hurt. As another poster mentioned; she faints at the sight of blood. That has a specific psychological cause.

It may not be serious at all. ALL children are neurotic before age four.

On the other hand, it could be the start of psychogenic epilepsy. It can't hurt to take him to a child psychiatrist just in case.

He has a seizure disorder for sure! You need to take him to his pediatrician first off. The pediatrician will most likely refer you to a neurologist. He needs to be on anti-sezure meds asap. You are lucky he has not gone into a condition called status epilepticus. This is a condition where to person has generalized "grand mal" seizures (aka floppy fish seizures as I explain to patients) back to back. If this happens then your son could fry his brain. This is seriously a big deal, you really need to take your son to the doctor as soon as possible!!

well when he gets hurt he probably breathes really rapidly which could cause him to faint or pass out.. im no doctor but that just seems like a logical explanation

...... Gets hurt ??????? what do you mean ? is he getting hurt all the time ??
Who is taking care of him ? only you ?
No panic of course .... but his body could have created a reaction making him unable to take the pain while conscious...
Or .. has he ever been hurt so badly, and it has become a natural body reaction ???
