The ingredients in the Oxycontin and the Percocet are the same!!!! He is way overdosing. If you look at the bottles you will see the word "oxycodone" on both of them. That is the main ingredient, or the narcotic portion. The only difference is that the Percocet has tylenol in it in addition to the narcotic.
Did the same doctor prescribe both of those? If he did, you need another doctor because no one should be taking those together.
As for the diarrhea, if he continues for 3 days he is at risk for dehydration and the blood loss is a whole additional set of problems.
Please take him to the doctor, urgent care, anything! Good luck.

Sounds like Irritable bowel syndrome, Crohn's disease or diverticulitis. He is on way to much pain meds for this. He needs to lay off the Oxycontin, and the laxitives, and see a doctor. Blood in stool is never normal. if what you say is true, he has an addiction to Oxycodone...and he has probably fried his liver with all that Tylenol...the 10 percocet alone is almost the daily recc. for Tylenol in a day. The constipation is due to the narcotics. He needs a treatment facility for his addiction and hospitalization...urge him to go to the doctor. Good Luck!

Take him to the doctor or hospital. That much diaherrea will probably end up with him in the hospital courtesy of a trip in an ambulance for extreme dehydration. Blood in his stool can be quite a few things, but it would be best to go to a doctor and have them evaluate him. I don't know what his situation is for taking that many pain pills and its none of my business. There is something wrong and he needs to go to a doctor. As a man I hate going to doctors sometimes, but there are some things you just shouldn't gamble with when it comes to your or your spouses health.

A lot of blood in the bowels? He NEEDS to go to the doctor asap if so....... it's possible to bleed out and die when a lot of blood is present. My husband nearly did almost two years ago.

He undoubtedly has damaged his intestine with over dosing on pain killers. both of which have a side effect of constipation. He need to see a Dr. but they would probably send him to rehab, so , he doesn't want to go.
