My son is experiencing very frequent bowl movements with a lot of mucous. He was admitted into the hospital last week b/c of blood in the stools also. Everything checked out fine there, no bacterial infections or intersession. I am wondering if he could be experiencing malabsorbtion. He has been throwing up the last 5 or so days but is not acting sick and has had bad stomach pains. His dad has apparently been diagnosed with celiac sprue but that was a long time ago and he does not seem to have an allergy to gluten. Any one who knows anything about this PLEASE give me your feedback!!

In China, many persons suffer from one Rabies question! Because Rabies describe like this : All the dogs bite or scratch can give you Rabies, and Rabies incubation period is from few days to sevral decades, and you need vaccine in 24 hours , otherwise is not effective! So many persons are worry to die: They have been bitten by dogs, but didn't get vaccine in 24 hours, how can they do now? They want to vaccine now, but are afraid the vaccine is still effective, because half of doctors say useless after 24 hours. So pls try to answer this question, not for fun, maybe you can save many persons, because many person want to kill himself for not knowing if they will die of Rabies one day!

Over the last 8 or 9 months I have been gaining a little more weight than I ever have before. At about the same time my cycle got a little messed up too. I went to see my doctor and my thyroid screening came back abnormal. I have read that having thyroid problems can slow down and almost shut off a body's metabolism, so I'm thinking this would explain my recent weight problems and inability to lost the weight. I was wondering if anyone who has a thyroid problem but is on medication has had similar weight issues and after the medication was able to lose the weight? how quickly did your body's metabolism bounce back after medication? I'm not too worried about my weight and am just happy to know what is wrong with me. I was just curious if anyone has any personal experience on thyroid medication and weight loss.

Dispite a blood test showing this was normal, i have really bad inflamation and pain back and in my sides each night when lying down. Why does this only flare up at night? HLAB27 result positive so awaiting some sort of diagonsis soon with a ruemotologist. I have in the meantime been prescribed celebrex 100mg - twice a day. I am considering taking three just before bedtime to get me through the night as it isn't working. Would this be recommended? thanks in advance for any shared experiences

Im 5'4 & 94lbs. Ana has helped me in coping but I cant keep ana but without her Im not going to stay alive. If I keep her Im not going to be alive. I have tried to be in recovery but I failed & now I want her in my life. She keeps me out of the hospital. Usually I have already been in this spring & summer but I havent I believe its because of going to ana. Anas the best coping skill even though its the most hurtful. I realize this doesnt make any sense to a lot of people but maybe someone on here will think it does make sense & give me advise. I cant afford to go inpatient right now. My parents think that Im at a healthy weight even though they know how much I weigh. They dont see the sypmtoms I see and since mom is on a dieting she thinks that I should eat as much as she does which is actually less than she does because she eats several times a day & I eat once a day.

For the past 20 mins or so I have been getting this weird beating feeling (heart beat) in my upper arm and shoulder. I have heard that this is a symptom of a heart attack. I am beginning to really worry about this and I am prone to panic attacks/anxiety causing me to feel short of breath and have chest pains, numbness in hands and feet ect. After reading about what a heart attack feels like the symptoms the symptoms are really similar to those of a panic attack.

Am I having a heart attack or is this just a panic attack brought on by that weird pain in my shoulder?

Is the beating feeling in my shoulder serious?

Please help, thanks.

i forgot to save a coke bottle that i was gonna use for a science experiment, and i brought it out from the trash like a day later. the cap was screwed on tight and there was like corn skin and stuff all around it, and then i washed it in incredibly hot water and soap for like 5 minutes. is it alright to use and drink or is there bacteria and tapeworm eggs and stuff in it? should i soak it longer? hahaha i already put it on my mouth briefly for some reason, but then i washed and rubbed my mouth for a little. hahaha btw, i had ocd!!! :(

PLEASE don't just scribble "go to a doc" I'm well aware this site is not a diagnosis, I am just looking for IDEAS that I can mention to a doc. thanks :)

Some friends have suggested Chronic Fatigue, others Bi-polar, someone here suggested Hypoglycemia (I already know I have that, but this is more then that).

I am tired 24/7
By afternoon I have headaches & am easily aggitated
I am not able to conentrate, focus & have poor memory.
I tend to get heart palptations off/on.
I ache all over alot of the time, epsecially after relatively mild/moderate exertion (and I'm really miserable after a 5 mile walk/bike ride with the dogs)
I have severe panic attacks
In the mornings I am somewhat hyper ready to get the day going, by noon or afternoon I just want to crawl into a hole.
I also have insomnia.
I tend to get sick after I eat dinner (racing pulse, dizziness, nausea)

lol...ok ok I know I'm a mess rofl. But any ideas? Just looking for ideas, not a diagnosis! Thanks :)

I've had a few doctors do this, and can't figure out what this test is for... They squeeze your wrist near your pulse point and say "let me know if you feel anything in your fingers, or if you don't feel any numbness or changes..." Then they do it on the other hand, and say "Feel anything?" and "Are both hands the same or is there a difference in what you feel?"

Is this a heart thing, a neurological thing???? I never understood what this tests or what they are squeezing at your pulse point.

I'm short sighted and have worn glasses since i was 11 (I'm 22). When i was about 14 i was told that my eyes would level out and wouldn't get worse. However they have been steadily getting worse over the years (I.e. every year i need a much stronger prescription). I was just wondering why this is, what the science of it is.

I can not walk correctly, or well at all. My hands don't really work all that well...and sometimes my speech. Why is this, if it's a blood disorder? Also, I"m 4mths pregnant....I know the risk is high and I've lost four times before. Would there be signs that the pregnancy isn't going well?

Hello eveyone,I would like some speculations on my current
health problem addressed.In 2005 Dec,I came afflicted
with so called heartburn symptons.I have never previously
had any engages with it then suddenly, bam out of no where
my chest would stay firey all day long and stomach has remained warm/hot.I have taken many pump inhibitors, acid reducers and nothing alleviates the sympton not even a little
bit.I began to lose my appetite at onset but the only thing
the prescription prevacid restored was my appetite and
that's it.Few years back my doctor had me on fiber because
he said it was low.Changed doctors back then and somehow
don't remember staying on it and little concern about not
continuing it.I also had mutiple muscle spasm before the
gerd-like sympton and on current muscle spasm treatment.
I also recall doctor saying something about my liver long
time ago but think he said it was ok.I believe something
else is underlying or related.Does anyone have a clue?

My son who is 2 years old developed really small red bumps on his face and a few on his arms about two days ago. Today his cheeks are a bit red. He doesn't have a fever or act sick in any way, he's also not itchy. Is this something I should worry about? I am also 33 weeks pregnant. I don't think they are chicken pox. Should I wait another day or 2 and take him to the doctor or go see a doctor asap?

here is my problem- I have a slew of medical issues-from fatigue, always having respiratory illness and joint pain on my entire left side, to what i JUST realized were psoriasis patches on my neck (i had them in the past. havent seen them this entire year), as well as other issues- These being the main ones.I've taken numerous xrays, MRIs and blood tests. ONE blood test (my 1st) showed I had a positive ANA...a weak positive. Subsequent tests all came back negative for lupus, Rheumatoid Arthritis, etc etc...everything comes back negative...at different dr's, labs, etc... Recently, my left ring finger became extremely swollen after what felt like loss of circulation on my left arm...I was diagnosed with synovitis-which the doctor's have NO clue why I have this being that its usually only present in people with an autoimmune disease (which I have alot of symptoms of, but no lab work to justify it). Any idea what may be going on with me? I will begin taking the medrol pack (5 days) next wk
