I have trouble getting out some words and putting some words together.

One of the best and easiest ways to stop your stuttering is to slow down when you're talking, think about every word before it comes out. Take deep breaths when it's really bad and just relax and try saying the word again.

Several uncles and cousins got help through The Stuttering Foundation and their book "Self Therapy for the Stutterer." One uncle also went to a speech therapist who specialized in treating stuttering at the same time he worked through the steps in the book. They all were able to overcome their stuttering except in times of extreme stress.

They used to recommend calling directory assistance- but now it costs at least a dollar in most places.
Have you tried singing the words you have problems with.
