Im 5'4 & 94lbs. Ana has helped me in coping but I cant keep ana but without her Im not going to stay alive. If I keep her Im not going to be alive. I have tried to be in recovery but I failed & now I want her in my life. She keeps me out of the hospital. Usually I have already been in this spring & summer but I havent I believe its because of going to ana. Anas the best coping skill even though its the most hurtful. I realize this doesnt make any sense to a lot of people but maybe someone on here will think it does make sense & give me advise. I cant afford to go inpatient right now. My parents think that Im at a healthy weight even though they know how much I weigh. They dont see the sypmtoms I see and since mom is on a dieting she thinks that I should eat as much as she does which is actually less than she does because she eats several times a day & I eat once a day.

Ana is anorexia nervosa
The only reason why my Moms on a diet is because her doctor told her to lose weight and shes having a lot of health problems because shes too heavy.

I can't stress enough the seriousness of your condition. There are a few things you need to do.
First of all, find the source of your anorexya. Not alone, of course. Please, go to a psychologist, and work out the problem. He/She will help you regain confidence in yourself. This is probbably the most urgent thing to do right now. Trust me, going to a psychologist doesn't make you mentally ill(i tell you this because i have met cases).
You talk about your friend Ana. She could be also of great help.

Second, talk seriously with your parents. explain to them what your problem is. It seems to me that your mother is obsessed also with body weight. You need to tell her not to put you through this. She will understand that for now it would be better to leave aside the diets, and eat regularly and in normal quantities, just to make you do the same.

Third, but not of lower importance, find friends that only like you for who you are and not for how you look. Trust me on this one.

And remember, your condition is very serious! PLEASE DO NOT DELAY TAKING ACTION! we're talking life and death here!

how to recognize anorexia:
-eating tiny portions, refuse to eat and deny they are hungry
-show abnormal weight loss - as much as 15% or more of body weight - a large weigh loss in short time
-act hyperactive, depressed, moody or insecure
-have an intense fear of being fat
-see themselves as fat, wanting to lose more weight, even if they are tiny
-exercise excessively and compulsively
-suffer from constipation or irregular menstrual periods
-develop fine, downy hair on their arms and face
-complain of nausea or bloating after eating normal amounts of food
-binge-eat, then purge, perhaps by vomiting or using laxatives or diuretics
if you dont want to talk to your parents talk to school nurse or social workers, or call help line and ask what to do.
the best treatment combines medical, psychological and nutrition counseling.
when it comes to your mom- you have to eat freaquently and enough to lose fat otherwise all she will lose is gona be water weight and muscle and she will end up having higher body fat percentage.

if you have the insight to see that you have a problem, you have the ability to seek help for it. Its not going to come from your family.
