i recently had an MRI (suspected MS) and the report from the radiologist said that there were no abnormalities, however, im no doctor or anything, but on one of the scans there was a bright speck in the left occipital area. Does anybody know if this is normal (im an 18 yr old female), or could the radiologist have overlooked it?

I have a health screening every year and the past 2 yrs my "absolute lymphocytes" have been high. (4085- range shld be between 850-3900). Everything else is w/in normal range.

I took the results to my doctor last year, he redrew the CBC but didn't seem concerned. It just concerns me that I don't know exactly what "absolut lymphocytes" do or what it means.

Please explain.

I am in pain right now on my left side. This happened to me before and was over a few months period of time and then it went away. Now that this pain has come back I am wondering if it is due to a flair up. I had iced coffee this weekend and I had dirrehea after having it which has never happened to me before. I was told that if you have a flair up than you should not have caffiene as that makes it worse?

Hi:

I was wondering if you can develop dyslexia later in life (late teens/ early twenties). I've never had issues with reading, writing or learning other languages (which I've read dyslexic people sometimes have issues with)...but lately I've actually spelled things backwards, missed words when writing and had issues with some advanced math. My math professor actually asked me if I had dyslexia (his daughter has it too and he found I made many mistakes similar to the ones she makes.)

My right hand shakes when I try to pick something up. I feel numbness and pain all the way to my shoulder. My mom, my grandfather, and my great grandmother had it. I am a musician and an artist does this make an effect on my hand?

It started a few weeks ago. If I'm just standing or sitting still, all of a sudden I get tinglings, vibrations or stimulations in my nerves in different parts of my body. Sometimes in my legs, arms, toes or even face. Feels like a bug is crawling under my skin or something. It's freaky because sometimes I can even see it happening and my skin just starts vibrating and it's scary. What could be the reason this could be happening?

My mother has a blockage in her colon. CT was unable to determine the exact nature, and an attempted colonoscopy was unsuccesful. She needs surgery, but is extremely opposed because her own mother (at the age of 85; my mother is only 73) died following a similiar surgery. My mother is getting weaker by the day, as she is only able to eat small amounts of soft or liquid food. She is also fearful of possibly having a colostomy bag; as she has always been somewhat vain and was very attractive and active for her age. Please, what can I tell her that would reassure her into getting the treatment she needs.
