I have quite an extensive history of anxiety/panic disorder headlining with hypochondria. When I was 16 I started having heart palpitations and had an ECG for 24-hours with all tests positive. Years later, after my freshman year of college, I had symptoms that I THOUGHT resembled diabetis, but, again, inconclusive. Now, for the last month or so, I have been getting light-heading during bowel movements. I am not sure if this is in my head again or not. It is coinciding with my lack of sleep from a hectec work schedule, so I'm eithar thinking that it is my body reacting oddly to lack of sleep(unlikely), or my body's reaction to excessive stress and anxiety(most likely). If anyone has an opinion that would be great.

I have always had frequent bowel movements (2 or 3 a day), but for the last 3 to 4 weeks I feel like I never have to go, when I do try to go only a little bit comes out and it is soft, not diarhea but soft and actually pretty healthy looking, it is frustrating because I can not pass a firm stool like I used to, there is no visible blood and I have no pain, my doctor has ordered a Barium enima and this procedure really scares me, (is it painful?) I can deal with discomfort or embarresment but planned pain is not for me, to make matters worse I have dealt with anxiety for years and I now have myself convinced I could have colon cancer, I've done research and these are common symptoms of colon cancer, I am 37, could someone please help and educate me with any other less serious condition that infrequent soft stools of small amounts could relate to? and is a barium enima the way to go? please help!

The swelling makes my skin so tight that it l leaves marks. It looks like it is going to break open and bleed. It hasn't yet. When I prop them up and it hurts so bad, with cramps, and burns that I must get up and walk. Then when I walk on them and the swelling gets worst. I can't sleep cause my feet ,must move.I go to sleep only when I get so tired that my body just finally goes to sleep and I use the help of sleeping pills. I take 2 mg of requip. I have been checked out for blood clots and don't have any. I have used ice. It works for a short time. I take fluid pills. Does anyone have any suggestion to relieve the pain and swelling. I am looking for so type of relief. Thanks for any ideas!!!!

I'm 35 and have had MS symptoms for two yrs. I have seen three neurologists, two MRI's, and one spinal tap. The MRI's showed lesions, but the spinal was negative. I was told by one doctor that I have mild symptoms of MS. I am not on any meds. I have headaches, fatigue, dizzy spells, twitching (only while laying down or sitting) pains, occasional difficulty using fingers. I know these symptoms does not always mean MS, but I have not felt better for two yrs. I've had my blood checked twice for lupus and other diseases and all is normal. I am about to see a fourth neurologist. I just want some closure to this annoying mystery. Any comments?? Thanks!

My doctor said I just have a cold - my strep test was negative - but my throat is so sore for three or four days now that I can't swallow, and my right ear is plugged so badly from SOMETHING that I can't hear out of it. I have post nasal drip which is making me cough, and barely any of it is coming out of my nose. Right now I'm taking Advil Cold&Sinus every 4 hours like it says, but I still feel like the same. Is it a cold? What else could it be if it's not strep??

A woman at work mentioned to me last week that she thinks I have scoliosis, she said that it was common for tall girls?? (she noticed that my hips where uneven, which I have noticed before never paid much attention to). I was curious and went home and looked up the signs of scoliosis and got my friend to look at my back (2nd opinion in case I was just paranoid) NOW I am SCARED, I have all the main signs, uneven hips and shoulders and my whole left rib cage sticks out a lot more and is higher than my right. if i prop my right foot up i can even out my hips by just resting on my toes of my right foot. Now i think back i can connect other things to it, like high back pain on one side (I thought this was just a muscle tension problem-which it still could be) i also get headaches which may be connected. This is scoliosis right? How do i confirm this? Do I go to a GP or a chiropractor? i am 21 years old so i am finished growing, what will they do if it is scoliosis?

Hi,

My father is suffering from vertigo. Room spinning, throwing up. He is not able to take the normal med "meclizine" at this time. I was reading that Klonopin might help with vertigo. I was wondering if anybody has had any luck with klonopin and vertigo. Also what can he take for the nausea?
Thanks!

I had a stroke recently and lost some vision. Medical term is called occipital lobe infarct. Doctors do not know what caused it, all my blood work turned out good or great. I had a blood clot somewhere in the body and that is what caused the stroke, but Doctors dont know where. Does anyone know of websites besides WebMD to give me info about this? Very scared as I have 2 kids under 4. I was very lucky with what happened but I am also very worried about another one happening. Am i now considered Disabled? If so, now what? I need some help with as much info as possible. and what to do next..... anyone?
