not sure about all cancers, but,certain types of cancer can be diagnosed with blood tests such as a "complete blood count" - a tube is drawn and a slide is made of the cells and viewed under a microscope. some others are found radiologically. this seems too important to ask at yahoo- are you worried about yourself or a loved one? or just trying to see if someone told you something bogus. either way, the best answer is going to come from a medical doctor.

Not by a blood test alone. It takes a combination of:
1. Several complete blood tests several weeks apart;
2. Bone marrow biopsy;
3. X-rays; and,
4. Evaluation of all the above, plus other symptoms, if any.
But, you know the Doctors are narrowing in when they order multiple blood tests, followed by a bone marrow biopsy, which is usually the last diagnostic test.
